Favorite truck meal?

I use Huel Black Edition because it has high protein, it's also their most expensive. There's also regular Huel, $2.21 per meal, and Huel Essential which is $1.52 per meal. Huel Black is $2.65 per meal (400 calories) with a subscription. It's $3.31 per meal without a subscription if you order it from their website, and a bit more if you order it from Amazon. I haven't tried Factor but it seems like it's healthy, refrigerated meals between $11-$14 (350-900 calories). Huel is a powder you mix with water and is a complete meal replacement, you can live on it if you want. They also have ready-to-drink bottles for convenience and even hot meals you can microwave, I've not tried those.

China has stepped up the game

The problem is scale. A large shipping company that pays 200 drivers could now deploy 2,000 of these. Imagine what it would look like when most companies do this. There's only so much road, especially in cities.

My company has used these for hauling to groceries stores a little over a year now. We've got about 10 of them and I drive then occasionally. We had a couple with heater problems early on, but they got fixed. Also, the yard transformers are huge we can charge 4 at a time. They're not bad.

This might be the most anxiety inducing driving I’ve ever seen.

Do any other Owner operators feel like this?

15 years ago was 2009 and the dawn of the Internet for many non-technical people. This is a natural progression of companies using aggregated information efficiently. When you have a computer telling you where the biggest expenses are across an entire company and all of the best options to handle it, it's easy to trim the fat wherever you can.

You'll be picking up 5 trailers (that the automated trucks drove on the freeway from the DC next state over) for last mile through the city.

Which one are you choosing?
