My wife and I both had phone numbers from our respective home states. We met in a place that was "home" to neither of us. Not long after we married, we moved to Atlanta. She wanted a 404 number, so she got one. I went along for the ride, since we were already there talking to the phone number people.

You should go look up “mondegreens”. There’s an old song that talks about “and laid him on the green” and people misheard it as “and Lady Mondegreen”, and linguists use that as the generic name for this sort of thing.

I went to Oslo once and one of the tourist attractions is the big ski jumping hill outside of town. There were two disappointing things about it: - to get there from the nearest train station you have to climb up an actual hill, which I did not anticipate - the museum of ski jumping at no point addresses the “hold my beer” aspect of the whole thing

Sometimes they do - they just have different names. I once drove a Ford Focus which is maybe medium, and then I had to drive a Fiesta for a little while after an accident which was basically the same car in a small. (I am myself a large, so that Fiesta was not comfortable.)

I didn't know that's when they roll over, but that's not the worst idea. You have to figure they have some data showing that at 3:30 the crowd's still drunks wanting fries after a night out, not people who have to be at work super early grabbing an Egg McMuffin.

They actually did this, although there was a part where they put the boats on trains for a bit? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_Canal Turns out it’s better to do it by connecting the Hudson River to the Great Lakes, which is a big part of why New York overtook Philadelphia.

When I first moved to Atlanta I wondered why there were so many Packers fans. Eventually it clicked that the colors weren’t right.

The TV show "FRIENDS" should have had seven main characters instead of six, and the first letters of their names should have been F, R, I, E, N, D, and S.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have an alternate Friday jersey in these colors -[ Serpientes City Connect.](https://www.mlb.com/dbacks/fans/city-connect) I cracked up when I saw it because it's clearly trying to be a throwback but the Diamondbacks didn't exist until 1998.

Once we get flying cars each degree for direction of travel should be assigned a different elevation to avoid accidents.
