Do you still carry cash around?

I usually have $40-60 in my wallet, but almost never use it. We only pay the elderly babysitter in cash. I’ll sometimes break a $20 for lunch at some place that doesn’t take credit cards. I use credit cards for pretty much everything, then pay them off each month. Lots of airline miles + a few $100 in Amazon points & “cash”-back benefits each year that way. Paychecks are direct deposit. Bills & rent are all on autopay. All digital. Covid really put the last nail in the coffin for me carrying germy loose change and dirty paper money. Cash is still “weird” somehow. The thing I’ve been late/reluctant to use is the newer mobile apps like Venmo or device tapping. I have Venmo, but don’t like or really trust it & use it about as little as cash. I finally set up Apple Pay for some online purchases - no real-world “tap to pay” though.
