Why there are no young volunteers?

Nobody who has no job is spending all of the time they could be looking for work volunteering. Even if they're not full time job hunting, working for free when you've got no money is not going to be a good use of your time.

It's an observation from a position of ridiculous privilege and one made without a shred of introspection. Middle-aged person who has enough time and money to volunteer can't imagine why younger people - who have neither of those things - aren't volunteering.

What's the form of bad parenting have you ever witnessed?

Does this mean that if you're not a parent you're not able to look at a kid behaving actively terribly and not being corrected and go "that's bad parenting"?

This is nonsense. Yes, you can empathise more with the difficulties of parenting if you have kids yourself. But to suggest that nobody who doesn't have children can call out shoddy parenting is absolute tripe.

Can you help me understand my husband’s point of view please? Should our son be allowed to game past 10pm on a school night if he can’t keep his voice down?

16 is young enough to still have an actual time he is supposed to go to sleep. He's staying up till 11:30 yelling at video games, it's going to be at least 12:30am by the time his adrenaline levels wear off to the point where he can sleep and then he's getting up at 7 (I assume) for school? Next you'll be asking why his grades are terrible.

Besides the usual groups like Oasis, Blur, Suede, Shed Seven, Dodgy, and the like what were some of the best bands truly from that era?

More rock than britpop and Liverpool not Manchester, but the Lightning Seeds are one of my favourite bands of all time and criminally underrated.
