Maybe, but it doesn't matter, it's normalized now. If a woman doesn't wear makeup, then perhaps she feels at a disadvantage. Can't blame them for wearing makeup, I'd do the same tbh. Also, I'm not convinced that it was women in particular that normalized makeup. It was probably a combination of things. A few things that come to mind are consumerism, advertising, prosperity, more free time, the cultural influence of sex symbols in the 20th century, raising beauty standards, etc I personally don't give a shit if they wear make up or not, but that's because I'm a man and a product of my culture. Just as women are a product of their culture, and it seems that makeup is an important cultural pillar for them Women can (and often do) put men down for our weird culture. I don't see why we can't just live and let live

Haven't you ever been proud of your sports team? Or your uncle who beat the world record for most plates stacked on forehead within 60 seconds? Or your friend who got a promotion? These are all things you've not accomplished personally, and I don't see what's wrong with being proud of them

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think that the government handles money efficiently. You will pay more for publicly funded services via tax than you would pay if they were not publicly funded

I think a small easily hidden tattoo is fine. If someone is covered in tattoos I think A) they look like shit from a distance. And B) The type of person who plasters tattoos everywhere often have personality traits that I don't want in a partner. I don't hate them or look down on them though

Isn't colonialism basically just when a portion of a countries population permanently moves to another land? Whether or not that land was inhabited before them? What about a colony on Mars? Is that not colonialism? It gets more complicated if our martian colony displaced native martians. Either way, colonialism isn't evil, it depends on the circumstances. The British colonised the Falklands but no one gives a shit because there was nothing but damp penguins there before
