How far do you have to scroll down the UK top 100 singles charts before you find a song you recognise?

To be fair it's not bad at the moment. Looking down I know the new Calvin Harris tune at no. 6 cos a load of great people did remixes of it. Aside from that Fred Again/Skepta and Olivia Dean in the top 20, both great. That Pink Pantheress tune that samples Dark & Long by Underworld is good too

What is you guys opinion on British ale's?

I love all types of ales but there's nothing better than being in a lovely pub and getting a beautifully kept bitter. Bog standard, not golden or pale or dark, just classic

Up to series 8 was perfect. Then after the long break it was still good but always felt a bit off. The improv is something you don't really get in British comedy and when it makes for a special kind of atmosphere and lines that are just funny but not specifically punchlines. What are the most outrageous double standards have you seen in British society?

Opinions may differ but Israel have killed nearly 40000 civilians in a country where half the population are kids and most of the population are not Hamas. Because Israel doesn't run out of steam means they should do it? That makes them just as bad as who you say are the bad guys? Israeli politicians have said things just as genocidal as what you refer to. And it's not about saying who are good guys and bad guys, that's irrelevant

You're missing the point and avoiding the Russia-Israel comparison. I condemn Hamas atrocities if that's what the subject is. But there isn't a double standard because they're not equal. One is a powerful occupying force, killing way more civilians than Hamas has. It's like asking someone to condemn black violence during apartheid South Africa. And there is another double standard. Apartheid in SA is bad whilst apartheid in Israel is ok

Pretty sure their crimes have been acknowledged. But we're talking about double standards and the standards I'm talking about are between two similar situations and the respective responses from journalists. Is there a double standard to do with Hamas atrocities?

Still a double standard. And it's not just proximity, it's dehumanisation of non-white people. People would care more about Australia or the US getting attacked than say Morocco. Caring about white refugees more than other refugees. Ignoring war crimes. Talking about rules based international order whilst favourable countries break them. People shouldn't care less and all leaders should be held to account like Putin.

LCD, Little Simz, Idles, Disclosure, The National, Confidence Man, Bombay Bicycle Club, Jungle, Justice, Nia Archives, Jordan Rakei, Danny Brown, Squid, Jamie XX, Sampha, James Blake, Orbital. All top tier for me and that's just from the main poster

Do you still listen to the music you loved at 14?

Posted by Born-Necessary9533@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 836 comments

andyatkinson97@reddit

I was listening to mostly chart music as it was popular so genuinely can't remember a lot of it. But I did discover Section 80 & Good Kid Maad City by Kendrick, Nostalgia Ultra & Channel Orange by Frank Ocean, An Awesome Wave by alt-J and Tourist History by Two Door Cinema Club. Three of my all time faves there. Listened to Eminem during that time but now only listen to his first three albums really. Still listen to some of Confessions by Usher. Had Demon Days on CD, love Gorillaz. Listened to a lot of Supertramp. Fleetwood Mac and Talking Heads with my parents and they're still my faves, Talking Heads even more so. Still listen to The Doors, The Who and Bob Dylan.
