And Star Trek: Enterprise ("Dawn") did so before that, back in 2003, and Star Trek: The Next Generation ("The Enemy") did something similar in 1989. It' hasturned out to be a pretty durable story/theme. Hell, Stargate SG-1 has an episode CALLED "Enemy Mine"
