I rebooted a 2000+ hour uptime Linux server. All good. If you are worried it will not come back up and the server is virtual, snapshot it with RAM.

Is it just me or is this a ridiculous IT exam question? (ITIL Certification)

Mistakenly mounted NTFS iSCSI disk to ESXI as VMFS. HELP!

Posted by matrixrice@reddit | sysadmin | View on Reddit | 38 comments

SweetAlex99@reddit

1. You did not just present the LUN, you formated it to.vmfs. That's different than mounting. 2. If it's just the header and you did not write something on it, you have a chance to recover. 3. In the future, make disks different in size. Or pay attention to the disk IDs. 4. Best of luck to you!
