Yeah, I don’t find it good looking, nor ugly really. But it’s so unique, so unlike anything else, that I find it quite interesting. The cybertruck has really broken people’s brains, at least the terminally online’s, or rather who people really are: that is adults with the emotional maturity of an 8yo. Like if this is triggering such an emotional response, you need to get some help.

Maybe because it was one of his most viewed videos ever, and the adult children of the internet can’t help themselves but rag him on it, not matter how out of context it is, to this very day. The amount of vitriol he has received is incredibly, to think that wouldn’t affect someone mentally, and even further to insinuate that he must have excess self worth, is an insanely bad take.

Yes, because that was an actual review of the vehicle as whole. They road tripped it and used it in the real world. Jason’s video wasn’t really a review. It dove into some the new and interesting engineering that went into it. They never left the track. Two completely different videos, that have no basis for comparison, because they set out with completely different objectives.

I dont't understand what this recall has to do with what Jason said. Recalls happen all the time from all the brands. Toyota literally just put for Prius rear doors flying open (the supposed gold standard in quality and qc), and Ford, too. How or why is the any different. I don't believe he ever Tesla was infallible, but no brand is. Of course this is still a terrible issue that being addressed sooner than later.

nah dude, I40 going into Flagstaff alone drops Arizona for me. The road is straight up dangerous. Massive sections or road just completely falling apart, and potholes that take up entire lanes and dozens of feet long. I can't believe an interstate has been neglected to that degree. It's completely unacceptable in a developed.

On that note, since you’re so keen on it, you not being able to differentiate such fundamental electrical architectures tells me a lot about what you know about these vehicles and the industry, which seems like nothing at all. This is incorrect. The comparable systems for 48v in those cars, run at 800v and 400v in EVs. Windows regulators, seat motors, and other accessories still run at 12v, where as they run at 48v in the Cybertruck.

Isn’t it unfortunate that we’ve gotten to the point where we can’t discuss controversial topics (like Tesla) without being broadly painted as a hater or a supporter, without prefacing our positions? It’s like people can’t fathom such a thing as nuance exists anymore, and having a meaningful exchange perhaps learn something we hadn’t considered before. We all know most things are not broadly good or bad, yet this sentiment seldom ever has a part in our conversations. If you did not state your overall stance on Tesla before making a somewhat complimentary remark, you assuredly would have been met with more derisive comments. For the sake of clarity, the same can apply to Tesla stans. Idk, the whole social landscape kinda bums me out these days.

From the top of my head: more “premium” interior materials, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, new rear screen, upgraded sound system, dual truck actuators (instead of just one), reworked suspension geometry, softer bushings, new passively adaptive dampers, dual pane glass all around, reworked subframes, slightly bigger front screen, redesigned front and rear with new lights. There’s probably more changes that I’m not recalling atm.
