What was your first concert and how was it?

My first show I remember going to was with my parents and that was Chuck Berry in 1983. I still thank Marty McFly for traveling back to 1955 for what I heard that night from Chuck. First show with my friends was Day on the Green in 1987 in Oakland CA when I was 14 and that was Mötley Crüe, Whitesnake and Poison. I was a little skate punk kid and wasn't into any of the bands, but I thought Mötley Crüe put on a pretty cool show.

Students and teachers

I had two teachers in trouble for inappropriate behavior. The first was a 30 something year old math teacher and basketball/wrestling coach that all the junior high girls seemed to have a crush on and the teacher made it no secret that he was aware of it. Over the summer from 8th to 9th grade he had a party at his house and plenty of girls from the school were there. Underage drinking 100% happened and the big rumor is that he made out with a few of the girls while they were in his swimming pool. He didn't come back to the school after the summer, but did continue teaching at a high school a few miles away. Years later I would see him around town with his much younger wife. I have no idea if she was a former student of his. The other was my 10th grade typing teacher. One day he was teaching class and then he never was seen again. Around the same time a student also disappeared from school. We eventually found out that the teacher was caught with that student in his classroom after school by a janitor. I don't know or don't remember if he ever got in trouble for it other than losing his job. The student never returned.

I hated how scripted the later episodes got

Explosions, crashing cars and guns I'm sure it's not the case, but when I think back on the last couple of seasons it seems like every episode had at least one of those things in it, which got kind of boring to watch for me.

Watching MythBusters reruns and it's sad to realise how many people from the show have passed away

And I have been reading people leaving comments on the Mythfits YouTube channel asking if Kari and Tory can get her on the show only to now learn that it will never happen because she has recently passed away. 😟

He has since taken down the original video, but the YouTube channel Wings of Pegasus exposed them as using prerecorded vocal and instrument tracks on their YouTube channel. So everything you hear isn't exactly live. Plus the producer in charge of the Graystones music (Adam IIRC) and the person running their channel use the kids age as a shield to deflect any questions when asked if the audio people are hearing is what they can produce live. Here is one of Wings of Pegasus follow up videos about it. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv186efK1uE

I was busy moving my ex-girlfriend's junk out of my place when she showed up to get her stuff and casually asked if I had heard the news and that's how I learned about it. So the death of Kurt is always connected to the end of my first serious long term relationship when I think about that day.

I was riding BART in SF when this camera crew came piling in filming this dirt bag looking dude. We both got off at the same stop and I was wondering who he was and why they were following him around. A few months later I see commercials for the upcoming SF season of the Real World and that is when I knew it was Puck that they were filming.

I remember in about the 6th grade getting a shot. For what I no longer remember, but I do remember asking if I could get it done twice because I wanted two cookies. They said no.

Besides quicksand, what did you think was going to be way more common when you were a kid, but isn't?

I went to get new tires put on my truck last year at Les Schwab and the kid (I say kid when he had to be 25+) told me to park my truck and leave the keys with him. About 15 minutes later he came back and asked me if I could pull my truck into the shop for him because neither he or the OTHER THREE guys working at the time knew how to drive a stick. I had to laugh.

Sorry but we *absolutely* stopped the school day and watched it by satellite.

> I’m the next generation to die. And it’s fucking killing me. I think so often of my own coming demise I don't know if you'll see this or if it'll do for you what it has done for me, but how I feel about death is like the quote that has been attributed to Mark Twain. > "I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it." Hope that helps.

One of the benefits of having an older brother that struggled with alcohol and drugs is it showed me that I never wanted to fuck my brain and body up with that garbage. I've been straight edge my entire life. xVx

An ex-girlfriend's cousin flipped his and suffered a severe brain injury when it landed on him. Who he was before the crash wasn't who he was after it. He took his own life almost 5 years after crashing and his parents blamed themselves because they bought it for him as a birthday gift. He was only 20 years old.

I used to play on Brell Serilis. My main was a 54 Ogre Shadow Knight named Scabbedwings. When I quit in July 2001 I moved him and all my alts to just outside of Blackburrow and gave away everything I could to random people. I still miss Scabby.
