If Black Americans are regularly called African Americans, then shouldn't White Americans be called European Americans ?

I get what you are saying, and maybe it's all internalized for me. I grew up in the second most Jewish county in Florida and grew up around a lot of Jewish people. It seems crass to refer to them as Jews

Societal and cultural connotations? I don't know why, but black people sounds better then blacks. White people sounds better then whites, Jewish people sounds better than jews. If I had to guess just adding the s makes it feel more dehumanizing.

Did anyone actually have hall monitors in school?

At my school your location was a prime spot. I know cause it was mine. The library was in the middle of the main entrance hallway. The safety patrol person assigned there was the "captain". We got to leave class 10 minutes early to make sure all the other safety patrol people were at their correct spots. I haven't thought about this in like 20 years

It's the chortle/laugh in the voice that gets me. Then in that actual episode, Jaime mentions something about the hair higher up, and Adam goes from laughing to distraught, because he has a date that night.

What city name in your state is the hardest to pronounce based on its spelling?

OHFTP@reddit

How are they pronounced? Being from Florida our "hard" city names are just native American words that sound like how they are transliterated. Wewahitchka or Okahumpka, for example. Immokalee is probably harder as the emphasis always feels like it's on wrong syllables.

How common is drinking "espresso coffee shots" in the USA?

Ah my palette is so refined that if I even taste the slightest hint of a Küerig machine I will riot. Like yeah I don't like k cups because of the amount of waste created while using them, same as with espresso and other single serve machines, but this take is drastically out of left field.

Glucagon isn't glucose. It's a hormone that causes your liver to dump stored glucose. Granted you can treat hypoglycemia by injecting a glucose solution intravenously, but that generally requires an IV first. EMTs will glucagon first to get that liver glucose dump, and then they will set up an iv to deliver the glucose solution to ensure that the blood glucose levels stays elevated. Glucagon should only be given if the patient is unable to swallow. Getting something like jelly or a sugar packet into the mucus membranes of the gums can work too if there is no glucagon available. Not the best solution, but better than nothing. Source am type 1 diabetic and my step father is a paramedic.
