Of course it would have given you the right prescription. Do you think different lens manufacturers end up with different prescriptions? We have to be able to read prescriptions from glasses, and all prescriptions have to be made within tolerances of British standards.

Just saying, in one of the biggest multiples there is (Specsavers), we don't work on commission. I don't care if you buy online, spend £15 or £500, it makes no difference to me. Source: 10+ yes working in specsavers. We are not 'sales people'. Think of us as the nurses to a doctor. The optometrist tell us what you need, and we give you all the options and find what is best for you and your budget. Those of us who are ALSO a qualified medical professional (Dispensing Opticians) care only for your vision and what you need.

If you are one of those rich people.. say earning 150k+, what do you do when you are not working?

Totally depends on how you define it. I earn 25k, but still managed to get a mortgage on a flat, have a car, go on 1 UK holiday a year. I think the problem is that I can't fathom having another 125k a year, because what do you do with all that money? Usually, the answer is the moment people get money, they want to spend it; bigger house, fancy car possibly on fiance for £150+ per month, fancy expensive holidays, renovations to house etc etc. So they also start to 'struggle' if their income stops because their spending is so much higher. But for someone like me; yeah, 150k is absolutely rich.

No this is how I clean it when I do my deep clean. But I find if I just squirt bleach on like many are saying, it just runs down into the water and does nothing for the sides. So my daily loo clean is bleach around the bowl, scrub with loo brush, bleach onto the brush before it's put into the holder, then flush.

Honest question; what is the hype/point do the four wheeler cases? Everyone I have seen someone use them, the case is to the side so the person's arm is as an awakened 90degree angle and they always get suck and top on the pavements. What's wrong with the draggy kind? Can someone explain?

I'm 27, called 999 once when I was a teenager when my mother was sick. Called 101 for a few non emergency things too, but that's the only 999 call I've needed, thankfully.

People with long hair, what do you do with your hair when you go to sleep?

Posted by ProcessedCarbs@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 45 comments

NotTooShabby95@reddit

Used to have it loose, but I've recently started wearing a silk bonnet as it's a combo of things; better for my hair as it's usually a frizzy mess, I'm a restless sleeper so.it stops my hair getting tangled, keeps it off my neck when I am hot in bed, and also, I cannot sleep unless it is pitch black, and it'll often slip down my forehead and over my eyes, so it doubles as a sleep.mask too, haha!

What lunches do you take to work?

Bagel with ham, cream cheese (either herb, pepper or chilli kind) and salad. Couple pieces of fruit or a handful of berries and some crisps. Maybe add a rice cake, or some carrot sticks and dip etc. Or I'll do overnight oats; oats, lacrofree youghurt, whatever fruit I have (chopped up), frozen berries, oatmilk & some nuts or chia seeds. Maybe grated carrot if I have extra. All pretty cheap, filling, and can taste quite different depending on combos.
