Does full tunnel VPN make sense?

You should be doing something like virtualized apps for RDP instead of Full Tunnel VPN and killing their internet access, it’s not practical. RDS, Citrix, Parallels, or AWS appstream would be perfect for this BYOD scenario.

Full tunnel VPN implies that all traffic including internet traffic goes through the tunnel. So if they’re watching youtube, netflix, or downloading some large file from a random site, it’ll go through your internet pipe.

Can confirm, maintenance and support is crazy expensive after the initial 3 years is up. Take how much you paid for your 4-node block and it’s about 28-30% for 1 year of maintenance and support.

Pretty simple, but what do you guys think of me expanding the network like so?

Posted by Ekko8303@reddit | sysadmin | View on Reddit | 18 comments

Well, will you actually segment these networks? Just putting them on separate VLANs when they can all talk to each other won’t accomplish much aside from having separate broadcast domains.

Rubrik or something else?

I wouldn’t call it a huge security breach “The attack on Rubrik's file systems occurred like all the other GoAnywhere-based attacks. The Clop gang leveraged a security vulnerability in the file transfer service GoAnywhere to get into internal systems at Rubrik. Fortunately for the company, the attacks only led to an internal testing environment with simple employee data rather than one of the servers holding customer data inside. This is good news for the company, and it makes the attack a more minor issue than it was for some of the more than 130 companies that were hit by the same security vulnerability”

Is DeepFreeze still being used? We use to use this in our lab for students. It’s almost like reverting a snapshot on a VM, but on a desktop instead. We would schedule it to revert to the previous state every afternoon.
