Which town or city in the UK should I move to?

Yeah I think it’ll take time to adjust and adapt. Long run planning for more sustainable travel options are never really popular at first because the vision takes so long to work and come to fruition. There’s a lot of tribalism pushing negative opinions; drivers Vs cyclists when the reality is both sides can make silly decisions on the road. I’m just a pootler with a Pendleton hybrid and a basket on the front wanting to feel a bit safer.

There’s been a lot of controversy with the locals about that. It feels like most people (on the local socials anyway) hate it and think it’s a big waste of money. I for one LOVE it! Been along it twice this week alone.

Came here to say north Tyneside area and it was at the top! Idk your budget, Whitley bay can be expensive, looking towards North shields, which is a very short metro/car journey away could be good. If you want to be closer to the city there’s places like Benton you could consider. I live right in between North Shields and Whitley bay, right by the coast and can’t imagine being anywhere else. Good luck in your search

Would you poo in a bag if it was necessary?

After I got off the cruise safely I would probably piss myself laughing about shitting in a bag. Quite a unique experience imo 😂 would alternative is there?! It’s very pathetic

I’m 41 and my younger employees don’t believe in the 90s/early 00s that we’d go clubbing while in year 10/11. Can others confirm?

You really need to comment from a different account pet. 😂😂 it’s always people who engage with porn that have the most horrible views of sex workers. If you hate them so much stop getting your rocks off to it.

Ultimately every kid is different so I’m not an expert here but a groclock worked for us but we’ve had it since she was very little. She was clearly awake but then when the clock turned yellow she’d shout ‘Olly is awaaaaaake!’ And jump out of bed (it came with a little story book with an owl called Olly) on the very rare occasion where she does get up too early (she’s 7) we just tell her to go back to bed or go read/play in her room. We have to tell her to get out of bed for school but she’ll get up herself at the weekend around the time she should be getting up for school. Once they’re more cognisant that will just present other difficulties ha!

Is it outside of the norm for a British person to stay overnight with their wife/girlfriend in the hospital after she gives birth?

I had a private room with a double bed so my husband stayed overnight. No complications at all; gas and air in a birthing pool 7 1/2 years ago. I must’ve been very lucky looking at some of the replies! It was the RVI in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Why do people get so defensive when you point out the litter problem in this country?

Lack of bins aren’t really a proper excuse imo. You know what I’d do if I saw an overflowing bin or couldn’t find one? Just take the rubbish with me 🤷‍♀️

Yep I’m by longsands and I rarely go in the summer because I’d be stomping up and down the beach like a mad woman screaming at people to pick their shit up. Went to cullercoats bay last year for a beach day. Family in front left all their rubbish, their 4 ish year old child actually tried to pick it up and her mam told her to leave it. When they were just about to leave I said ‘excuse me, you’ve left all of your rubbish’ and she picked it up all embarrassed, put it in the bin that was about 10 metres behind us and on her route off the beach. Fuckin animals man

It’s Christmas Eve! What are your plans?

Posted by AangFanClub@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 546 comments

Koholinthibiscus@reddit

Wrapping presents, dropping off Christmas presents to family, dropping off the food bank donations I got along with my Christmas shop, braving the shops again because I’ve ran out of tampons 😂 doing some tidying around the house as I like a tidy house for Christmas, making a nice tea (burger and chips) watching muppets Christmas Carol and playing Dragon Quest 3 on the switch. Up to the final dungeon!

Despite the rough economy, has anyone else noticed how busy the shops are for Christmas?

I feel ya. I get dread sometimes when I know I’ve got a hard week ahead. Just hunker down until you can find a job that’s a better fit for you. Doesn’t have to be perfect.

I agree with this mostly, but gaming can also be similar to chilling with a book. There’s a lots of different styles and genres of gaming with interesting stories and themes that engage the brain and make you think, it’s not all shooty shooty gatcha games.

Keep your eyes peeled for any new roles, your job is making you feel worse. Take pleasure in the small things, nice food, good book, fun video game etc. try and get fresh air as much as possible. I like to keep a clean tidy house which I take great pleasure in when costing up on the sofa with a candle and any/all of the above activities. Would a pet be appropriate?

I can make my insides squirm and my head spin by thinking about this and when I’ve tried to explain it to other people they think I’m mental: I am me. I can’t experience being anyone else ever. The body I inhabit is the only one I get. These are the only eyes I’ll see through. Out of billions of people, this is the mind and body my consciousness was randomly assigned too. At this time in history in this geographical position. This is it.

Do you tell your kids your having a pet put to sleep or tell them after?

Koholinthibiscus@reddit

Having pets is a good way to teach kids about death as they could die when they’re young, especially pets like rabbits etc. tell them in a careful language appropriate way, let them say good bye.

I was just thinking about this scenario the other day wtf?! Not the details, just a womb banging on the door. I’d open the door but I’d have a knife or a bat in my hand. As a woman if that hate to be in that scenario and receive no help. I would lose all faith in humanity.
