What TV show did you want to be on as a kid?

This show in Australia called "Vidiot" that was like a music quiz show for kids. I can't re-watch any old episodes of it now, it's embarrassing! I can't imagine what it's like for anyone who was actually on it at the time.

Superboy the tv series. It ran for four seasons and while it feels like it was something I watched, I have zero memory of it.

I think I only saw this movie once in primary school. It was one of those days where they got the whole class together and put on a movie for us. It must have been towards the end of the year or close to the school holidays or something.

My interns have never heard of Hanson or the song mmBop

I can appreciate this song now that they are grown men and have re-done it a few times. When it came out in 1997, I absolutely hated it! I think I prefer *this* particular version, though: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhf3kHeKwMw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhf3kHeKwMw)

I still haven't heard this album or seen "Cool As Ice." Actually, I'm not sure if many of you will know this but the "Ice, ice baby too cold" chant was originally featured in the Spike Lee film, "School Days" in 1986: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfPc8Ia7E20](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfPc8Ia7E20)

You're in your childhood basement/bedroom with your first record player...what's the B-side of the 45 you're dancing/singing to?

How old were you when you realized that "Every Breath You Take" is a stalker song?

I don't remember, but I think that maybe Sting said it in an interview years ago and it somehow became common knowledge. Then again, I guess it's not so common if not everybody knows what he's singing about. I knew back when I was a kid, I'll say that much, I just don't recall what age.

I'm roughly around the same age as him. When he first came out, there was some stuff I didn't mind that I'd heard on the radio and what have you, but when I listen to it now, I can't say that I'm a fan.

Old people today get a phone called Jitterbug because that was something from their era. What will our old people phone be called?

What's even weirder is that if you've got the "Encino Man" DVD and you turn on the Italian audio, the Terminator "I'll be back" scene is translated as: "Torno bello!" Torno means to return, bello means beautiful in the masculine verb so it's a very strange translation. Although, if you type: "Torno bello" into Google translate, it says it means: "I'll be beautiful again," which is even stranger still.

Not really if you've actually read his book. I just finished it before he did that. I'm not condoning it at all but it didn't shock me, either. It just made sense why he did it. Again, not saying it was OK.

What was the dumbest reason that you got in trouble for at school?

The first time I ever got detention in Year 7, the whole class was detained because we had a relief teacher, some Indian guy with a turban and everybody was acting up. Then, I think we had another guy and again, everybody was misbehaving and not doing their work. But I was just sitting there, I think. I was never really a bad kid at school. Anyway, all we had to do was cut stuff out of magazines and make a collage or something stupid like that. No one did it so we all had to stay back and do that, I think for detention. How stupid is that?

"Delirious" was Rated R18+ in Australia for many years until it was finally reissued on DVD for its 25th anniversary, I think? Then it was MA15+, so when it got re-classified, it wasn't as strong, it seemed. So, IMO, it would be probably seen as "toned down" nowadays, even though it's still pretty filthy. Also, a lot of the references to TV characters and such are way past dated by this point, so either you get what he's saying or you don't.

What's funny is that Mr T prides himself on not swearing at all and yet his daughter is ironically a standup comedian who swears quite a bit. If you've ever seen her stuff on YouTube, she has a whole bit about Mr T Being her dad. People ask her if it's true and she says something like: "Then why would I pick him, out of all people?"

Have you ever tried to tell someone something was bloody and they thought you meant “bloody”?

Today in Sydney, Australia, it's 33 degrees. It's BLOODY HOT! We all know exactly what that means when we say it. We say "bloody" in the same way that Brits do, so there is no problem there.
