Aye, fuck Chelsea. It ain't like managers are worthless and can't turn the tide but I'd bet there are a fair few great managers at the bottom of the league who couldn't turn the tide most of the time vs. the big cash that gets you the top players in pretty much any sport, managers be damned. It's not like what you mentioned is one in a million though, that's part of why footy can be fucking amazing.

Yeah I reckon driving about for fun was real popular back in the day, at least in the states, when there weren't 78 trillion vehicles on the road and cities were a little smaller.

The first step in solving a problem is recognising there is one. You're on the path to shutting draws and cabinets in a timely manner, my friend. I wish you godspeed on this arduous journey towards closure.

Makes sense to me. No need for your edit, buddy. You nailed it, and there's no justification necessary. I understand why you're pre-emptively defensive though.

That's a shame. I have had an awful biriyani once, so you aren't entirely alone. Funny to read someone with Asian heritage to be longing for an English meal :)

Nowadays, it ain't so bad. Go to Aldi, and you can get the basic ingredients for a little more than a tenner, feed four people, and hopefully have some leftovers for a sandwich or two. Does take some time and effort to knock it all together and clean up afterwards. Should be a joint effort me thinks.

Sounds delicious. Had a few lamb biriyanis that I thought were brilliant. I'm not sure about mint sauce with chicken, but then I've never tried it, so who am I to say it ain't a great pairing. Yorkshire pudding getting the stepdad treatment reminds me of the same going on in my house.
