Windows 11 won't install in my pc.

There are certain basic protocols to which Windows will adhere to start the setup process. If you don't have the hardware to continue, well, that is how it is.

Will the ram prices drop in future?

Posted by coooldudee_69@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 16 comments

HLMCompany@reddit

Maybe. They have leveled off. If you need, RAM, get it now. It is a semi-safe bet. If you need more, buy extra. What happens if the price drops, and your RAM is worthless? You still have RAM for YOUR system.

No, you are looking only at hardware specs. A GPU is at its best when optimized via software. So pick a GPU that is best for your GPU requirement.

Should I pick Intel or Ryzen CPU?

Posted by Educational-Scene443@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 23 comments

HLMCompany@reddit

I totally agree. Sadly, most CPU model numbers are useless. It is all marketing jargon that is designed to confuse you. But the AMD X3D is still solid.

What do I need to know before upgrading parts for my pc?

HLMCompany@reddit

I say that because for modern use, especially with games, that system is weak. I hate to say that, but hardware does out of date quite quickly, and then it gets slow.

Is Intel bad?

Posted by Adam_Taylar@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 79 comments

HLMCompany@reddit

Intel was never bad, they were just sub-par to their competition. That battle between Intel and AMD has been going for a long time. Intel has owned the competition for quite a few years. Then AMD finally usurped them again. However, at the moment, Intel is catching up, or has met them on the battle field with good CPU solutions. So many of us still recommend AMD CPU solutions.

I'm deciding between two gaming PC builds that end up costing about the same

Posted by Old_Truck_1636@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 10 comments

HLMCompany@reddit

The 5060ti will have more VRAM with a slightly faster boost clock speed. The 5070 will have more tensor cores. Personally, I'd choose the 5070ti if you can afford it.

RAM was in working system, and I am sure it works back in the original system. Have you tried new RAM for this system? I honestly think this is more simple than we think.

Ram bottleneck

HLMCompany@reddit

None of it is bad. But with the hardware you spec, and at the gaming specs your provide, I don't think you'll get good FPS. I would suggest a GPU with 10GB+ VRAM. But as you can see, some people disagree with me.

Need PSU + storage advice for my new After Effects / Blender build

Posted by Responsible_Ad_9813@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 1 comments

HLMCompany@reddit

For the PSU, I'd go 850 watt, and Seasonic 80+ Gold. For the storage setup, 1TB NVMe (OS/apps) + 2TB NVMe is good. But in all honesty, the second storage device can be bigger and even be a SATA HDD. When you dump data to an HDD, they are quite good for sustained write speeds, if that is your plan. HDD write like your pouring water. An SSD writes pages, which requires it reads a full page first, loads in memory, makes the changes, then writes it back to the SSD. Also, HDD handle heat better for large write requests. But for the price, maybe get to HDD in a RAID 0 and then have a backup for the data. Just a wild thought. :)

Is This A Worthwhile Upgrade?

Are you using the system's Wi-Fi setup for your internet connection? If so, depending on your Wi-Fi setup, there might be an improvement between the two motherboards.

Ram bottleneck

HLMCompany@reddit

I know, but it also means that you can easily play FPS games at 1080p that want 10GB or more VRAM. If I can afford, I would not use an 8GB or even 10GB GPU anymore. If there is a budget constraint, then you buy what you can. Also, I did not jump to anything, just my experience stating the obvious.

Ram bottleneck

Posted by CategoryOk3907@reddit | buildapc | View on Reddit | 18 comments

HLMCompany@reddit

The first bottleneck will be the 8GB of VRAM on the GPU. Then your OS will try to use RAM, which for FPS is not nearly fast enough as you'd expect. If RAM runs out, then the OS will attempt to use the Swap file on your HDD/SSD, which is like 2 FPS.
