You're most of the way there then. Sounds like a situation where you're gonna have to use some creative social engineering. Obviously we don't know what their work is like (ie. corporate or small business) But *you* know where they are a lot of the time and as a result can feasibly get to know, or get someone else to know, one of their colleagues/mates. Then when trust is established it's a case of 'Oh wow, I know \[insert name\], does their phone still end with 389?'. If it's a smaller business where everyone knows everyone, then it will be better to do by phone, eg. call when you know they aren't there, make up some believable story as to why you urgently need to get in touch with them and hope that people don't know or don't care about GDPR. Or use a burner phone number, leave that with their work saying you need to get in touch with them and *voila*, they call the burner and there you go. *Very* unethical, but hey, this is the place - if you know their car, give it a ding and leave a note about insurance details along with the burner phone number. They will definitely be calling.

Did you end up verifying your ID with Reddit?

Discopathy@reddit

Same. Was wondering why that might be - like, my account is 9 years old, is that anything to do with it? Or have I used a debit/credit card for something at some point (I don't think so), and that obviates the need for additional verification? Like, it's the law, so surely it's gotta be everyone, from when the law came into effect.

Those people who pay for Mounjaro, what will you do in light of the recent announcement of the massive price hike?

A lot of people aren't going to like this comment, but the answer is the Dark Web. The legal guys are milking this fad beyond belief. It turns out that the illegal dealers are forced to compete with each other with far more realistic profit margins (like 20-40% I'm guessing, instead of the 800% plus that the cunts advertising on Facebook are making). We pay about about Β£15-25/month depending on dosage. Do not reply or DM me asking how to do this.

It's not exactly a riddle. Look at the last line of the transcript. Even better, look up the name of the movie I've laid out incredibly specifically, watch it, and all will become clear. God people are wilfully stupid πŸ™„

I'm guessing it's a reference to the short film The Grantown Star Cause in Irvine Welsh's The Acid House.... Transcript for reference: Doreen: Tell us whae ye've been seein'. Boab Snr: Dolly Parton. Doreen: can't hear ye. Boab Snr: Dolly Parton! Doreen: That fuckin' slut? knew it. Who else? Boab Snr: Anna Ford... and that Madonna, but just the once. Doreen: Scumbag. Bastard. Ya dirty fuckin' prick! You know what this means dont yee boab... Boab Snr: No, no Doreen.. no the shite. I cannae eat your shite. Doreen: I'm gonna shite in your mouth. It's what we both want. Don't deny it. Boab Snr: Aw go oan then. Shite in my mooth!

Same mission OP. Currently having one pan potatoes and eggs, bit of garlic, maybe a shallot or some spring onions, parsley and chilli flakes to top. I sometimes add in a couple of large handfuls of spinach. If I haven't got already cooked potatoes, the cans are actually great.

What’s the cheapest hotel you ever stayed in?

30p a night, Kathmandu 2003. Original room price was something like Β£1.50 a night for a couple of weeks, but by the end of wandering around Nepal for 10 weeks I'd run out of money, so they let me move into a 'store room' which was exactly the same except it had a couple of mattresses stacked against a wall. The air con and room service admittedly was not great.

I would strongly disagree. Play them both, making sure they think you're not interested. Fuck them both, separately. Then casually tell both of them that you've done this. Watch the fireworks as they both try to win. Use an occasion such as an office party so that they both reach maximum competitive. Then snog another chick in front of them. The compounding effect is amazing. In my experience, one flags out, but a few months later is up for a threesome with the one that stayed the race. They both have such strong feelings about each other that they will fuck you and each other into oblivion. Strongly recommend.

What is surprisingly legal in the UK?

It is legal as long as you only use two dogs while above ground, and one below. This is Scotland but a quick Google shows the same in England.

Pepper spray is a section 5 firearm in the UK, unfortunately. It's stupid, it's the best non-lethal weapon out there. But use enamel paint or a can of Raid, cause permanent eye damage and it's fine.

That sounds like a plan πŸ‘πŸ» From my experience I would probably want to buy something off the shelf rather than try and get them to recreate something they did ages ago.

Sorry, was a poor attempt at a joke there. That's good you know the artist's name. Small word of warning - I got an artist to do a commission at about the same price and it was shit. His wife even warned me, 'He hates commissions'. So maybe check first before putting money down. Sometimes art is only good because it comes from the heart.

I like food critics too. I've been one. I think most people commenting on this are missing the point. A good food critic writes a story, knowing full well that 99% of readers will never go to the restaurant. In the end, it's an entertainment piece. The internet has somewhat destroyed this idea, with every 50 word writing twat on Google or TripAdvisor becoming a 'food critic'. But don't devalue the storytelling brilliance of someone actually good ie. AA Gill.

Does your local pub do anything unique that you've not seen anywhere else?

Posted by FuckingPope@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 741 comments

Discopathy@reddit

There's a certain pub, in a certain area of a certain city - where you go in and either get a beer from the bar, or a banky of weed from the guy with a bin bag. You are permitted to roll and smoke your weed on the premises, and they have a nice food menu. They've been at it for at least twenty years and seem to still be going strong. Cops regularly roll by but give it a wide berth. If you're a local in this city, you've probably heard of it. For obvious reasons, let's not put out the name or identifying details.
