For those who did modern dance/hip-hop competitively and/or professionally when you were younger, how are your joints?

Congratulations on being the recipient of my first-ever pocket award. I'm not sure what I even sent you. All I know is that my phone made a weird buzz as I was putting it away and a purple thing popped on my screen.

Marrying and/or birthing someone with opposite tastes is always a win. I breathe easy knowing no one in my house will touch my cheese. Because you know how much it sucks when you find out there's no cheese during a 2am refrigerator raid?

I was in a dark theater and opened my Skittles, not knowing about the switcheroo. When the green apple hit my mouth, I said, "WTF?" in shock. People shushed me.

I have memories of people born in the 19th century. My children may well live to see the 22nd century.

Paul McCartney is only theee degrees of separation from Napoloeon, who was born in the 18th century. He met 95-year-old Betrand Russell, who was raised by his grandfather, Lord John Russell, who visited an exiled Napoleon on Elba.

I have my copy stored safely away until I can transfer to DVD. Never understood why Disney didn't release those era movies (including Chips the War Dog and Goodbye Miss Fourth of July) onto DVD or streaming.

I think it's just as Xennial as X. To me, it represents a time when our microgeneration was really becoming aware of the crazy world outside our front door.

I had a Discman, but not many people had burners. The one girl in my class who had one made bank by burning CDs for folks. It took a few years, but prices dropped enough by the early naughts that it was standard in new computers.

Someone pointed out it was likely my sophomore year due to a few inclusions. Most of the music in the mix came out when I was a freshman so I connected it to that year.

Thank U was 98, but you're right, this was probably given to me sophomore year then. A lot of these songs are connected to my freshman year, and that's why I thought it might have been then.

Did you have MTVu in 1998? Started college in 2001 and it was played 24/7 in the student center and cafeteria. Same songs on constant rotation. Waynr Wonder, U2, All-American Rejects, and Outkast will always take me back to subpar dinner.

It all depended on your school district. I lived on Long Island, where districts mostly have a cut-off of December 1 or December 31 to be in certain grades. Since I was born after the 1st, I entered as Class of 2001, even though someone just two weeks older than me was in the Class of 2000.

We were 14/15. Most of the kids I knew then were listening to Top 40 until Napster, cheaper CDs, and the ability to go to shows by yourself allowed you to more easily discover other artists and develop a particular music taste. Until then, we were either listening to Top 40 or our parents' music.
