True story a buddy of my dad’s did exactly this in the 70’s. Also told the group some salacious details, and then passed a picture of her around the group. Imagine everyone’s shock when my mom exclaimed “that’s my sister!”
Anyway, both couples are still happily married.
My grandfather was asked to film at a martial arts event where one of his friends was hurt, and naturally one of the paramedics was pissed at him for filming them work (I would be, too).
A day later he met his future son-in-law. You can figure out the rest.
I can't.
I'm not even entirely sure what's going on in the first paragraph (your grandfather was already filming, his friend happened to get hurt, so your grandfather started filming that, right?)
Grandpa films event for friend
Person gets hurt.
Grandpa keeps filming, recording the paramedic doing their job.
Paramedic tells off Grandpa for filming.
LATER
Grandpa meets son in law, who is the paramedic. (I really hope I don't have to explain this part)
The story is light on details but is *easy* to figure out through context. Asking for more info and having attitude when you're provided some is embarrassing behaviour btw.
>Grandpa films event for friend.
>Person/friend gets hurt.
>Grandpa keeps filming, recording the paramedic doing their job.
That's what I was thinking, but if you read higher up in this chain, you'll see that the person said "no" when I asked if that's what happened in the first paragraph.
Them replying with "no" isn't really equivalent to them "providing details," btw.
The question was:
"your grandfather was already filming, his friend happened to get hurt, so your grandfather started filming that, right"
The answer is "No, (that's not right), he was filming the event for a friend"
So the only part disputed was the grandpa filming already for no reason. You have to make assumptions from context because most of the comments involved are written terribly. That's the way I see it anyway
Your last paragraph is pretty ironic, since you couldn’t figure out I wasn’t the person who asked for more information. But thanks for explaining the story.
