Animal shelters should hold fundraiser BBQs where the meat they serve is the animals they had to euthanize due to lack of funding.

"Without adequate donation of time and funds we are frequently left with no choice but to euthanize animals that are beyond the scope of our ability to care for them. We want to turn this heartbreak into an opportunity to serve the community. That's why next month we will be holding our first annual Eat-a-Friend BBQ! In the event that our funding goals are met before the end of the month, we will be serving meatless chili. Either way, we hope you can make it!"
