Same here, I love the call backs. With Susanna Clarke would write faster, but then the books wouldnt be as good i suppose. Plus it gives us loads of time to read and reread her works.

Ive just made a comment about that book. Its so comforting. I had to deliberately not read for 5/6 years because id reread it so often. It was lovely coming back after the break and reading it again. Have you read her next book 'Piranesi'?? I bought it week it was out and managed to not read it until last year. Different to Jonathan Strange.... but also a brilliant read. Nowhere near as long, I enjoyed it so much I ended up staying up all night to finish it..

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is one i repeatedly return too. It helps its such a long book i can fall slowly into the weird whimsical world it creates. Plus the extensive footnotes fill out the world beautifully

Discworld books are my go to when im stuck for something to read or dont have the mental energy to start a new book. Incredible books and the quality staying so consistent is amazing.

I heard John Cooper Clarke - Evidently Chickentown over the credits of an episode of The Sopranos. Immediately caught my ear and I delved into his catalogue and become a fan. Technically not music as its poetry but still.

Why is Gemma Collins even on TV?

There are levels to it though. I dont know anyone whose taking it all day every day but I do know a lot of people who smash a bag or two on weekend and fine the rest of the time. But I know some people who wont go out without a bag. To the point they've come to pub, nursed a pint while trying to score snd then gone home when they've failed.

I have found a young girls youtube channel that has her accidently showing to much. Youtube is refusing to take it down. How do I help protect her?

Yeah unfortunately it's one of the more horrible realisations I had when I got older, was realising how many women I knew had been through stuff like that.

I went through that disliking memories popping up stage for a good while after I lost my cat, eventually it went from being a painful reminder that he'd gone to a lovely way to remember him and how happy he was. If I'm having a bad day it's one of those things that really cheers me up. Sorry for your losses but hang in there those reminders will go from a source of pain to a source of joy eventually

Is it fairly normal for Door to door charity people to make you feel bad?

They're not vultures. They are just people doing a job. I've done it in the past. You get lied to the entire way through the interview process and by the time you realise what the job actually is you feel committed. I agree the way your taught to do the job is sly and manipulative but by that point you've been indoctrinated so you don't realise. Just say no to these people and stick to it. No need to be an arsehole to them or demonise them as vultures. Just people trying to survive. I think this practise should be outlawed but until then just be kind but firm.
