Why do I feel like the only person who sees the end of the world coming?

I think for most people who intend to be well informed, will make better decisions in general in their daily lives as a result that will be in line with not trying to aligning with an immoral trajectory that will exacerbate things for their wider community Whether it be to improve their own wellbeing and elevate their own individual consciousness. Or maybe to even align with that trajectory for better odds of survival at least it’s coming from a source of understanding of the reality they live in. Even in the large scheme of things it wouldn’t change anything for wider society sure. From an individual point of view, it means people are better equipped to deal with the suffering and be more at peace with their own decisions as opposed to being proudly ignorant as a natural consequence being blind sided by changes as they become reactive to it as opposed to being internally prepared at a certain level. It’s really just about people’s levels of sensitivity and ability to cope. Some runaway from issues and some deal with them. I don’t think we should be championing viewpoints that suggest running away from a problem is the general solution but I’m fully aware that not everyone is equipped to cope with dealing with it and as a result burying their heads in the sand is a viable short term solution.

Why is food bank usage so high even if in decent paying job?

I know people out there that need it but won't use it out of shame. I also know that some places have a surplus on the day because not enough people want to take it out of perceived shame as well. So I think this only becomes an allocation issue if they're at capacity. (I'm just speaking from my area though, as I'm not aware of the wider circumstances)

Morning people of Reddit who wake up before 5-6am, what is your routine and how is it going?

Dude it’s really basic. You sleep early you wake up early. In the beginning just be radical about it. I’m talking like go to bed at 6pm and then gradually increase it to 8pm when it gets to the point that 10pm is like late. That’s all you have to do. Once you sleep early and start to make a habit of waking up early. Increasing the time you sleep incrementally actually doesn’t take you out of waking up early as much as you think. You just need to form the habit of getting out of bed in ridiculous hours of the morning. Once you tricked your brain in that way. You’re fine. It’s really just a game of self-deception, fake it til you make it. It’s not that deep.

You just won the euromillions jackpot. How are you going about quitting your job?

I’m not quitting. I just have more autonomy to do what I want when I WFH. My job aligns with my personal goals and it grants me a lot of freedom to do what I want to do. That combination with millions in the back is a win-win.

Absolutely this, make them a viable “third space” again. You smashed it with these suggestions. Add - more skate parks, dance halls, tennis courts/ basketball courts / open playgrounds. Etc

You'll be surprised by the amount of Finance/Law students are on there and are roleplaying their expected lifestyles and earning based on hearsay and cope. A lot of these post are aimed at one-upping the other without any evidence they actually get paid in these amounts. Not saying there's no truth but there's a sea of lies on reddit.
