For job wise, I agree. I wouldn’t trade away my eduction years where dreams are not yet squashed away by life demands of an adult. It was still part of the memory

I don’t find your comment any more meaningful than the comment you replied to. It is quite sensible to assume the stock of old houses will tend to be ones that were economically worth maintained. And so what we see now will usually be good ones
