While not as bad as the new a6, the 5 series got hit with some cost cutting too. I’m hoping the LCI refresh addresses some of that

imo, it's basically a X5+. it's not big enough to truly compete with the escalade/yukon. it's not good looking enough to compete with a Range Rover.

IMO, all the top places are really comparable. I wouldn’t make a trip for bbq, but if you’re already in Austin try one of them

Also, I had an RX loaner and the 4cyl is awful in every metric. It’s not fuel efficient, it’s not smooth, it’s not powerful. Combine with a tiny gas tank it’s very meh

not mentioned, the cayenne and macan, now at $92k and $67k. the cayenne is heading into a second minor facelift/refresh and the macan is still the original since 2015. wild how much the porsche name carries for these prices on the entry/practical models. A bmw X5 M60i a V8 with 523hp (base cayenne 348hp) and the X3 M50i at 393hp (base macan 261hp) for less money

Lexus: Sewell or Park Place?

Posted by Furrealyo@reddit | plano | View on Reddit | 39 comments

My alignment was off and I brought it to park place. I paid for an alignment but it still felt off, brought it to my dealership in Austin where I live (I was visiting family in Dallas) and they showed me the before that it was still misaligned. Took like 3-4 days of calling to get a refund from park place. TLDR: Sewell

I’m biased, but for the price there really isn’t anything like it that covers many attributes. Exterior and interior are superior to its competition, V8, daily drivability, Lexus reliability. It’s actually quite cheap to maintain outside tires too. Now, is it going to outperform a base 911 or M850i. No, but you get way more in what I mentioned above in comparison
