Having this discussion on another sub and thinking it might be a generational thing. Do you use closed captioning when watching TV? I don’t and it seems younger people do.

An American Tail (1986) - my parents separated in 1986, when I was 5. Mom takes me to this movie and I proceed become dehydrated from all the crying. Great movie.

We learned how to sew on a sewing machine. We all made our own duffle bags, and then cross-stitched our names to use as tags for the bag. This was in 8th grade in 2001. I still have my duffle bag and still use it for vacations.

You can go back and eat one last time at a now defunct restaurant. Where are you going? Feel free to add your favorite bygone eateries.

I'm 35 and this is pulling toddler memories out of my brain! I love this sub because it reminds me of stuff I would've otherwise never thought about again because I was a bit too young for it to stay in the front of my mind. All I remember is the tune.

Anyone else old enough to realize the shows your grandparents watched were amazing?

Pretty much any Disney movie from before 1980 is fabulous and weird at the same time. Never regretted watching a super old Disney movie. My wife convinced me to watch Pete's Dragon with her the other day. Super weird, but also entertaining and unique.
