Absolutely not. The full name is United States of America, which is shortened to America, as there are no other countries with the word America in it. Just like we refer to Mexico as Mexico, and not Estados Unidos de Mexico. We just say Mexico.

They also severely fuck up my vision of things outside the direct light. As a bus driver, this shit is infuriating when I'm trying to see if people are standing at a bus stop in the dark. Because people fucking hate standing in the light, apparently. It's not as big of a problem in the older parts of town where they haven't swapped out the sodium lights. It's so much easier to see in between the streetlights.

You can't just call something voter suppression. As an adult, you use ID for most everything. Getting a loan, buying alcohol, buying a gun, driving a car, attending a concert, boarding a plane, traveling to another country. It's not "voter suppression" to hold elections to the same standard as buying a beer.

Is that actual fact? Or speculation? Because all the news articles specifically say "may" and not "will happen." Because you are stating it as if it's objectively fact. Because the actual text of the bill states that the states themselves will determine their rules regarding this, as they did with the Real ID act of 2005.

If you can't find your birth certificate, you can go get another copy. Just go to the records office and request it. Last time I did it, it took like 20 minutes.

There are caveats to the first one. You are still required to identify yourself to police if asked, at least in most states. Otherwise they are allowed to detain you until you can be identified. Which bleeds in to the third one. Mindlessly repeating "I don't answer questions" often lead to the stop taking longer than necessary with absolutely no benefit to you.

God damn, I looked high and low and can't find who asked. Not once did I say obesity can't contribute to developing diabetes. Nor was it even implied. I was merely pointing out the ignorance that telling someone to simply diet and exercise isn't a substitute for proper medication.
