Don't bother you won't and can't unless leadership enforces and guides new policy. Just check out, get experience and move, don't waste energy on people to shitty to do the basics

You're a good leader, your team should be grateful to learn for you. Show someone once, start to finish, document the KB have them do it by themselves after and then only need to escalate if it doesn't work

If I request a time to call you to go over or troubleshoot something, “now” is not an option

>If someone is yelling at you on the phone, when they finally pause for you to speak, take the opportunity to remind them that they aren't treating you fairly, with respect. Co workers should never be yelling at each other. End discussion, if you're yelling at me, we are having a meeting with HR. We are all adults working in a professional setting, acting like a toddler will get you put in timeout.

> If someone is yelling at you on the phone, when they finally pause for you to speak, take the opportunity to remind them that they aren't treating you fairly, with respect. Any decent restaurant will 86 a customer doing that. Why are coworkers allowed to abuse us with impunity? Come to me with respect and kindness and you'll receive nothing but that and more. Come with anger, rudeness and attitude and that's all you'll receive. They're my coworker not my boss and we are a team, without IT they can't do their job, so let's act like a team

ULPT: If the person sitting in front of you on a flight reclines their seat all the way back and leaves you with no room, turn on the air con above you to full blast and point it at the top of their head.

Mental Healthcare 20 locations 600+ employee We are moving to replace almost all towers with laptops. Most of equipment is 10+ years old. There will be a handful of towers for facilities/cooks/residential services who might need network access/resources but don't need a laptop

I used it in an Org of 2000+ users, seemed to work well. That said I was just Tier 1 at a mature org so it was all set up I just assigned numbers. Had very few complaints beyond set up was a little counterintuitive if they were exchanging computers but otherwise easy to use.

Frankly I would accept my users admitting they're lost their keys. Everyday it's X is not working, it's saying my password is wrong even though I know I'm typing it right!

So you see how HR shirked their responsibilities onto you? I can do the same, training people isn't my fucking job, if they don't have the basic computer skills they claimed they did in the interview they better talk to their manager and learn how! Yes I'm trying to leave my shithole.
