What books are most commonly part of the required curriculum for teenagers aged 14-16?

It's literally the majority. I think the number is around 80% that are conservative Christian.  I broadly don't like private schools, but not all of them are bad.  I just have a feeling I know what kind of schools someone who talks about "government schools" is a fan of.

Standardized testing really doesn't show that you know the material. Particularly given you can easily just cram and dump.   It's just a bad metric. It just evaluates your test taking skill. A skill that doesn't matter.  It's just stupid and arbitrary. One of those things that just keeps getting done because that's how it's been forever, not because it's valuable.

What you have to remember is that law isn't and can't be objective. That was one of the biggest mistakes a lot of Americans made. If there's any silver lining to any of this, it's making it clear that laws are more of a suggestion if there isn't the will to enforce them. Been that way for the rich for decades, if not forever.

He was a dumb guy who got picked out by a billionaire named Foster Fries to run an anti-college propaganda campaign about 10-ish years ago.  He had some footprint, but like most of these guys (they're a dime a dozen) he's astroturfed.
