Lots to see and do ! Start with Pembrokeshire an absolute gem of a county. With the most beautiful beaches.  Don’t stick to the main towns , although Tenby / St David’s are lovely.  Then head to the Gower near Swansea.  Brecon Beacons- Abergavenny and Hay on Wye. Now into England- Somerset away from the coast ( avoid) has pretty villages and Glastonbury/ Wells and the Levels. Gloucestershire you have the Cotswolds and Cheltenham/ Stroud/Nailsworth .  Around Shrewsbury and the borders is beautiful with the drive to Snowdonia spectacular. Yorkshire is a gem - 2 national parks , York /Whitby , the dales . Lake District is like nowhere else in UK and really distinctive scenery.  Liverpool for a city break- lots to do - lively- friendly and fun. And take in Chester which is not far away.  Edinburgh and all the Highlands and Islands especially Mull/Harris ( avoid Arran) .Skye lovely but crowded with coach parties.  Newcastle/Alnwick / Bamburgh for a warm welcome.  Cambridge more scenic than Oxford.  Go to Dorset out of season and go fossil hunting in Lyme Regis / beautiful thatched villages, Corfe and the region for fabulous views and brilliant pubs.  Devon head to south coast , Dartmouth great stop off . Dartmoor for walking.  Totnes an interesting town .  Cornwall charming just drive around but best out of season. Great winter breaks in St Ives/Padstow. Give Newquay a miss but just outside both north and south are stunning beaches and coastal walks.  Essex -avoid. And most of the S coast around Eastbourne/ Worthing .  Good city breaks in Brighton and Portsmouth with opportunity to go around the Isle of Wight.  Midlands - Peak District for walking. Stratford .  Yes ….. I would go to Birmingham for a big night out, to see a band / concert. Lots of great museums and parks ( same for Cardiff and Manchester) .  Get a National Trust membership, that will take you to some really interesting rural and urban spots.  Finally London- but research first . Plan museum / sports/ gigs first . Don’t overstay the centre. Get out to Kew/ Hackney Wick / Wimbledon etc. Eat at one of the many great restaurants BUT not in the tourist traps, where you will get indifferent food and quality. Head to somewhere like Chiswick/ Islington .

What is an acceptable time, to YOU, for a baby/toddler/child to be let out into their garden in the morning?

It’s not a set rule. It depends on your neighbours really. I am retired now and I like to wake up about 8:30 but my neighbours wake me up screaming at the children, each other and the children crying loudly. I also have students over the road who don’t go to bed until 2am.  I respond by putting a speaker outside and play loud music to drown out the morning noise. And let them know that it is not okay. Once it quietens down I then shut down the music.  Dogs barking at 7 am is a no no .

Love the scouse accent and my son lives n fantastic Liverpool. But when I work at Glastonbury I always have to ask the scousers to repeat themselves as I can’t understand what they are saying so often.

Go to your local FE college. I worked in one for 40years. Lots and lots of support and a totally different vibe . Big student services and a much more varied student environment and experience. Don’t go to a school sixth form. It is just not you . You will be ok just tap into the support out there.

What to wear in London in July/Aug?

It’s those horrible baggy white shorts US visitors wear that make you stand out or cargo pants . Also the obligatory baseball cap and sandals and socks . Or sketcher trainers ( only old people wear them here) . Buy a nice short sleeve shirt and a jacket or fleece . Proper fitting denim jeans . Or buy some clothes when you get here. Next or Uniqlo are good

Are you smoking weed too? As this at your age is a road to getting housebound and paranoid. Get down to careers advice or contact college you attended for either a different course . ( Try something completely different like carpentry/ child care / games design) Do a BTec as better form of assessment. Or get some voluntary work/ look into doing an apprenticeship. Treat you being at home as a get fit project. Keep a food diary app , start walking every day . Get into a regular sleep routine. If you like animals, offer to take dogs for a walk. That is so enjoyable as a dog brings so much joy. Life is only just beginning for you , so be kind to yourself.

Dishoom is fantastic. You do not go out in UK to eat Shepherds Pie , that is a meal cooked at home. Or sometimes a pub . There is a subtle difference between eating actual Hindu Indian food and Bangladeshi food . Borough Market is a good place to try different foods.

Golden retriever every time. They are just adorable, maybe get a rehomed one about 1 year old. As if you’re not totally sure a puppy is a great deal of work. You have the routines to teach , the bitey stage that you thing is going to last forever. Not being able to leave it for long periods. Also think about what your house is like? Best to have wooden/ tiled floors. Also if you teach them not to go upstairs then that remains dog free . It’s the best thing I ever did and the love you have for them is scary. https://preview.redd.it/6m0o6mjup42f1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d29e88b844379e53f62b7e08fdb8b98e3cadd829
