If it was proper 'fuck everything' money where the interest will buy me a brand new car every couple of months (£100m+), I like my job enough that I'd still probably send a polite notice informing them that I'll be working from home for the foreseeable, and only for the purpose of drafting training material or tutoring my replacement as I'll be a bit busy otherwise. I'll probably earmark a mil to give across the company (I'm pretty sure it's sub 100 staff, so decent), and any leftover for a party if that does happen. If I get told to fuck off straight away, that's fine, I'm not going to be needing a reference after that anyway.

Get home at six, make dinner, stay in bed and play videogames because of some horrible lurgy I caught, probably from travelling in a packed train to a trade show last week. Pay day tomorrow, so that'll keep me occupied!
