Despite being a bit introverted, ive made casual friends at the gym (although I always forget to ask their names, now it's been too long and awkward to ask), id never try in a commercial 24h gym, but i prefer gyms that are a bit more weights focused and more frequented by body builders and power lifters. Find it way easier to make friends because everyone there is so passionate about weight lifting, they actively want to help you if you ask, with your form, giving advice etc and frankly being around such monsters lifting crazy big weights really pushes me to work harder

Well I believe they've been proven to overly target minorities? My concern is once you allow them the ability, its much harder to take back. yes our current goverment may not miss use this technology, but can you trust all future goverments won't? And its usually a stepping stone, got nothing to hide, then you shouldn't have a problem, is a very dangerous mind set. I find its akin to saying you don't care about freedom of speech, because you have nothing to say right now.

Will you please help me better understand how much of my difficulty working with my boss is her personality, and how much of it is "cultural mismatch"? (USA + UK)

Makes me think of a historical example from the Korean war where a British solider told an American General "things are a bit sticky, sir", which meant they were in deep shit, but the general took it to mean things weren't so bad and so reinforcements weren't sent

Do people really think a 30-minute walk is short in the UK?

Should you pay for what you broke, even if you feel it’s unreasonably priced?
