What’s best cooler bag / box to keep medicine at 2-8 deg. C for 27h travel?

We’ve got warm weather for a couple more days, do you currently own ice packs and cool bags? Might be worth running an experiment on how it holds up by just making up a pack and leaving it in the corner for a day. If you have like a polystyrene ice cream tub having that instead of the bubble wrap as an internal layer would prob work.  I personally would be happy just sticking it in a cool bag and running with it but I’m a wing it girl (who owns a medical grade cool bag suitable for storing things at 2-8c for up to 24hrs) who’d get a cup of ice from wherever to dump in if worried.

What’s the breakdown because bricks are generally good for 18hrs so the ice covering the last bit and refreshed could do it? Plus as long as the bag stays closed shouldn’t heat up too much.

Oooh fuck!  Assuming hand luggage-  Couple of [these](https://www.medigenix.co.uk/coolmeds-classic-2-8c-medication-case.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18710278966&gbraid=0AAAAADwhJHBLJffzqTaMxec-d5429yK7l&gclid=Cj0KCQjw64jDBhDXARIsABkk8J5m-dhkdFMfyqZcG3LQ6U73mNmXi_RIsHt37LxghldnI2HyENt7a_UaAhVREALw_wcB) plus some ziplocks so you can swap out the bricks for ice at your layover? See if there is a med bay or such where you can re-freeze your bricks.  The outside temp impacts how long things stay cool so you’re kind lucky with airports + flight as they’re generally pretty static so even if you’re wanting to keep it fairly bargain then any small (think 20x15x15cm) insulated lunch box with your pens bubble wrapped (too keep them from getting too cold) in the middle with some decent ice bocks around should hold up for your travel time as long as you’re not aiming for Death Valley or anything like that. If you wanna be fancy the smallest yeti is £200 and you’d probably have room for a drink and snack too.

How are you finding the current heatwave?

I like it. Today I picked some wild raspberries and muddled them into homemade lemonade to sip while watching the birds.  Then I went to the gym where it had ac and was cold as balls. It was so fucking cold whyyyyyyyyyy

£14 for an eat in fish and chips is a steal. It’s not the largest portion but guessing it’s more of a proper restaurant than a pub serving food restaurant.  Carlsberg is an absolute trash beer, think what freshers buy in bulk for pre drinks or lairy football fans kinda beer, so that being named dropped in the batter is a bit comical. Maybe it has a better rep for you guys but that’s just because American beer is shit.  Vinegar would just be on the table as a standard condiment. Doesn’t need to be included in the image as it is a diners choice.

Doesn’t sound like she’s in distress. Sounds like non engagement and you don’t not have to physically force you just remove other options so it’s uniform or nothing. The choice is forced as nothing is not a viable option.

They full well know which platform trains are arriving at so why you’re not allowed to wait on the platform for 10minutes prior is ridiculous- for the little local turn arounds okay I get not having them wait as they’ll have other things moving through but for the WCML let us wait. No one sane is going to want to go to Crewe for the shits and gigs

It’s the last stop before the price bump. Gotta name it because I’m not getting fined 50p for the bus driver not knowing the name of some random hamlet. The stop name is literally an option on the drop drown.

Have you not ever been caught in the funnel of people rushing to get to your train? You might not want to rush but you’ll have to because they only give you 5 minutes to board and you’re in coach A and there’s only two people checking tickets

I hate, hate, HATE the feel of most sun creams. Use the soltan kids stick or an actual oil product (piz buin or Hawaiian) because then it’s acceptable in my mind to have it feel a bit greasy.  I blessedly have a reasonably high tolerance before I burn so to the horror for many most just use moisturiser and covering up if I feel a bit hot.

What does she do instead? Like what is the days routine.  I’m a ND kid who didn’t like school but not going wasn’t ever an option, parents would have me up and out if I didn’t get myself going so I always went. If you’re a few months into it being an option surely you just need to reset for next year (and probably y7 again) but at a fresh school and be zero tolerance on the refusal. Being autistic isn’t a free pass to be a little shit.

Getting on a bus, on my own fully the only person at the bus stop and requesting a single to three fishes (a stop on the route/a pub) Bus driver tries to charge me for 3 singles because I said 3 (fishes). Gets really shirty when I point out I only want one ticket. Ends up cancelling the the whole ticket and I got the journey for free. Asks when the pub was built when I get off because he’s never seen it before. It’s from like the 1600s. It’s also not small.  Not sure which reality he was from but he had a cracking moustache

Tin of biscuits and some public praise of the business being the “above and beyond” type. Don’t say they do free work just that they’re very helpful and you appreciate their honestly and skills.  Sweet treats for the now & hopefully some new business for them for the future.

I had to be picked up from school a few times because of injury, my mum would always be like “oh yes I’m taking her to the hospital to get checked over” and then just plonk me down in her office, which in all fairness was in a hospital (radiology), or with her secretary until she finished for the day.  The one time I did need an X-ray got seen SUPER fast _then_ plonked in the corner of the office.  The only lasting damage is with my relationship with my mother so it’s cool

How to: Foreign dentist - dental nurse?

Posted by Barbielicious666@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 5 comments

BibbleBeans@reddit

You’d have to do a whole dental nursing/hygienist qualification since your dental qualifications aren’t recognised and I doubt they’d count as transferable for credits either because of that.  Just do the exams etc to get recognised in the UK, it will be quicker, cheaper and easier (unless you’re a shit dentist) than what is effectively having to retrain.

Unless you’ve tamed your credit score I cannot see why you’d not be able to get a loan. Even with a tanked credit score you can get loans through regulated measures. You may be in a shit situation but that doesn’t make you incapable.

So cleaning and reproofing shoes will keep them looking and functioning their best for longer, it’s an extra cost but it (in theory) delays your need for a replacement.  Even with non-heavy duty footwear getting re-soled or heeled as required can be a worthwhile expense.  Nikwax make various products for different materials and are widely available. Lots of info on their website so totally worth a read as a start point.

Waterproof trail shoes and then change into your work shoes. Have function for function and form for form.  Also do you do any upkeep for your footwear? Cause if you don’t you’re just screwing yourself over.
