Why is living at home so bad?

Well my friends all told me to stay at my parents so the opinion is definitely changing. Why I refuse to live with my parents: 1. They are hoarders and the house is a tip constantly. 2. I wasn't allowed room in the fridge/cupboards for a sufficient food supply and was told off for eating the food in the fridge. 3. They got a puppy and it took ages for him to be trained and I gave up dealing with it. 4. Literally have no space for anything in a small room where I couldn't remove their things for furniture. They are nice and I get on with them but good God I would never live with them.

Why is working from home (for those in jobs where it is possible to do so) not being encouraged, given the rise in fuel prices?

I have a mental health issue and I would just simply be incapable of working 5 days a week in the office. I am super productive and clever at my job but the commute (I'm not allowed to drive) and managing myself in the office to be professional is impossible on a 5 day week basis. It boggles the mind how they're all about "getting disabled people into work" on one hand but then removing a way they could actually work in the other.

How British people deal with situation when goes out of words to say in conversation??

Did anybody ever actually have a VPN on their phone before the government started asking ID for sites?

Yes I'm security conscious and never connect to public WiFi without a vpn. I usually use mobile data and refuse public WiFi. It's handy when travelling. It's free with revolut metal so I might as well.

They don’t want to pay uk tax so they moved to Dubai. Now Dubai isn’t safe so they want the uk to bail them out with tax money. Dubai is held up by slave labour and there is a loooootttt of shady stuff behind the scenes.

I do a 4 day compressed week, no salary or hours cut but I just work my hours on 4 days. The monday off is absolutely amazing and really makes the weekend feel like a full break. I love it so much.

As someone who's lived in and around Birmingham my whole life the area has massively improved and I hope the issues with the council get solved asap and the stuff like binmen issues get back on track. The amount of cool new developments, restaurants, things to do, nice looking relaxing parks and urban areas is really great as someone who was coming here 2 decades ago.

I'm a developer and it does a good 60% of my coding lol. I use it pretty frequently at work but rarely for anything not work related. I tried using chatgpt as a language conversational tutor for spanish but it wasnt very good.

Struggling to find lenders for woodland land purchase — what are our options?

Look for a broker that specialises in woodland loans and mortgages? Will get the most bang for your buck than relying on research etc as they will already have connections with lenders.

Are you or anyone you know working a second job as well as a full time job?

Yeah, I work FT as a developer and am trying to build startups as well as general IT work across my evenings and weekends. I probably do 80 hours a week most of the time.

Where in UK can I buy a brimless cap without the adjustable strap? Not a woollen one. Everywhere it's one with adjustable strap.

I had 5 months off this year because of mental health condition. It’s been a bit bad coming back but settled in now. I think the hardest thing has been recoming to terms with working since I got my salary while sick so wasn’t working for full pay. I do want to retire even more now lol
