Yes. Overly entitled parents who’ve never been told no so therefore neither have their children who also think you’re on call 24/7. Classes full of SEND children and not enough staff to cope with them, unrealistic expectations from people who sit in offices all day.

Business Manager in work (a school) is 76 - has been retired before. Is extremely wealthy. Her and her husband own several properties here and abroad and a barge too. Both got huge pensions and she doesn’t have to work. Shops in charity shops, has my round a phobia when she goes out (work with her niece who tells us all this) uses everyone else’s butter/milk/tea/coffee from the staffroom and will collect up any “left over” cakes/biscuits before some staff have even had a chance (had their break/lunch). Someone brought in accumulated bags ready salted crisps from different multi packs as no one in her house ate them - bold as brass she walked in filled a plastic bag with every bag and walked off again. Easily a millionaire

4 guys I knew in Yorkshire used to organise “settle up” on rounds for those who drank something slightly more expensive at the end of the night so literally the ones drinking the cheaper pints would get less than £1.50 back each.

4 houses from the age of 0-26 (can’t remember one of them) moved out of home at 26. 6 times as an adult from 26-39. Been in current house 6 years - got caught in the rental trap and landlords kept selling - got completely lied to on one by the letting agent - when the owner revealed they were only renting it out for a year. Left after 6 months.

Worked in an office where the boss used to allow us to nip out on a Friday and get a breakfast barm as long as we didn’t all go at once. 5 girls went at once (after 2 lads had already nipped out to pick up sandwiches for a few people) got full breakfasts in boxes sat there letting phones ring while they ate and claimed they’d done nothing wrong….The two lads got a bollocking for not accurately predicting the future that the girls were going to go en masse 10 minutes after them. Next week no more Friday breakfast butties.

10 grand holiday, 5 grand trust funds x 2 for kids. 10 grand next years holiday 5 grand few new things weekends away 60 grand off Mortgage. Make a massive difference each month. One less thing to worry about - more disposable income each month. Probably save too albeit less than what we pay for holiday/mortgage each month.

Old friend of mine gambling, then coke, escort from adult work bleeding him dry. His Mum died left him a small fortune circa £300,000 all gone in 2 years, doesn’t see his son. Several attempts to help him to no avail - told him to delete my and a few other mates numbers in the end - told him straight if anything happens to you were not inheriting your drug debts we’ve got families and kids to think about.

I remember being in Infants school and a teacher from another class came in with a present and a card for a boy in my class along with his slightly older sister. I remember feeling slightly annoyed as I never got a present at school when it was my birthday. Even at age 6 it later occurred to me he probably never got anything for his birthday at home and his sister had told her teacher that. He also wore flared jeans that were too big for him for school and not a uniform…this was the 80s

I watched a great documentary once about a guy who won big. He bought his mates houses outright and took them on holiday- he later found out one mate resented him because another mates house was slightly more expensive. He also found out his mates went to a caravan for a boozing weekend but didn’t invite him because they thought he wouldn’t want to - didn’t give him the option. He said he never speaks to any of them anymore after he told them his wallet was now closed.

Not me but a very angry art teacher screamed at everyone to sit in the nearest chair immediately. A mate of mine sat in the nearest chair to him which was a different colour to the others (not behind a desk) which was the teacher’s. The teacher made a big song and dance about someone sitting in his chair so my mate said no problem and moved to another seat. Then the teacher took off again and sent my mate out for saying no problem and thus suggesting there once was a problem...and offering to give him problems whilst frothing at the mouth!! The rest of us just stood staring in disbelief.
