Thinking about buying a plane for training
Posted by KeyOfGSharp@reddit | flying | View on Reddit | 27 comments
I MAY have an opportunity to purchase a plane for 40k. The idea is to lease it to a school, and continue training on it myself until my 1500hrs.
During the lease, EVERY single solitary cent earned from the plane would go back into the plane for fuel maintenance, and inspections. Absolutely no profit would go to me.
When I'm done I sell the plane for hopefully more than what I bought it for.
Any thoughts on this? Does it seem like a good idea? Anything I might be missing?
