Where is the joke? Is the forest not already a great place to walk? Have i missed something?
Isn’t it just the implication that if money grew on trees, people would go to forest more often, to pick money?
Aside from forests already being one of the most popular places to walk this still isnt a joke. Its like saying: If there was a lot of money in a particular place people would go there. Yeah no shit.
If that was the case. People on the top would have cut down all of them (at least those that do produce money), and leave some for themselves to harvest the seeds and cuttings to sell each for a fortune. Some even would try make the kind of trees that won't be able to reproduce, so the can sell the seeds or cuttings, but whoever buys them won't be able to become a fortune sellers themselves.
Has anyone of you ever seen one of those "survival on an island" programs where a large group of individuals need to survive on an island and where the island also has a small vegetable garden where they can grow plants so they have fruit and vegetables if they manage to let is grow and maintain it properly?
As soon as those gardens are discovered they are immediately plundered and I fully expect people do the same when money grows on trees.
