Leatherman or gerber multitoool. Get trophy shop or things remembered or some place to engrave there name and company name on them. The personalized!!! Not everone drinks or likes the same stuff. So a gerber would be something the majority of drivers would like. If you do jackets then you would have to be careful with sizes. Carhart sizes are not the same as other manufacturers.

1. The OP was ASKING for suggestions. 2. If you read the OP's post, its the OP AND a GM so that's $600 ea. If they're pulling down $60k, that's 1% of their year. They probably spend more than that on morning coffee every year. 3. If $600 ea is too much, they could easily do $50 cards for about the same effect. I didn't mention that because I assumed anyone with even a marginal ability to fog a mirror would be able to figure that out on their own. Totally this. One thing I've learned from over a decade of managing drivers is that at least as a group, there is no pleasing them. None nada zip. Even if you're giving them cash money, I guarantee you will end up with one or more unhappy because you gave them cash and not a direct deposit or because you gave them a check and not cash or because the you gave them a $100 bill instead of 5 $20's or 10 $10's. Even if you ask each individual driver exactly what they want and exactly how they want it and then do that for each of them, you'll still have done it wrong in the eyes of at least a few of them. And the ones that are happy and appreciate what you did will never mention it. Thanks is not in their vocabulary. But the ones that are unhappy will tell you and everyone else how much you fucked up and why.

Profit sharing works in theory, but not in practice IME. First off, if the top brass isn't comfortable opening their books to let all employees have a peak (most aren't) then the system relies on the employee believing the boss when he says we made X in profit this year. Most employees aren't going to do that and for good reason when they see the bosses wife pull up in her brand new BMW and then hear about how 'dang it guys we thought we were on track to make X in profit this year but turns out we only made y in profit so looks like you each end up with $75 in profit share bonus. Yeah that's that kind of thing that just makes people quit on the spot.

Not only do you need to know sizes but even though I love hoodies. There are a lot of colors I wouldn’t wear and I don’t like wearing any branded clothes so if it’s not something I’d wear I’d just toss it. My company a few years ago bought fake north face jackets with company logo on them. They had a dumpster beside where trucks parked and pretty much everyone just threw them away on the way out to the trucks. It was one of the tipping dumpsters. It was probably 1/4 full of fake north face jackets and fake yeti cups.

My Dad kinda did an odd thing for his farmers and drivers but quite a few liked the thought. He would get various odd items done up with his company name and a stock truck that resembled his as a logo and put together packages for the various folks. Hats, of course. Sewing kits, oddly enough. Belt buckles. Change purses. Surely today hoodies and shirts and such would work. He was able to spend more on these gifts because he could simultaneously write them off as advertising or whatever. I know that sounds cheap but when you realize he had at one point 40 some farmers and 2 or 3 drivers to gift, it added up. I get you're going for a personal touch, but maybe in the future this is another avenue for you to explore. Chrers!

Interesting thing about these Carhartt jackets: I got one a little over a year ago from my company and it’s already starting to wear out. There are a couple small holes worn in some high abrasion areas. I’ve had jackets in the past from Carhartt that never wore out. I’ve got one that’s probably 20 years old and there’s no wear in the fabric anywhere. I don’t know if Carhartt quality is going down or if they sell different grades or levels of materials and our boss just got us the cheap one.

Everyone gets to open their surprise gift. Just stay away from clothing items, you don't want the 3XL guy grabbing the medium sized jacket.

The music stations play the same 12 songs on a loop. The talk stations have like 6 to 8 hours of new content daily, with the rest of the day being reruns. When you're listening for 12 to 14 hours a day or more, it gets old. A Spotify subscription gets exponentially more talk in the form of podcasts and better, personalized music "stations" or Playlists. At best, you could argue that Sirius is better for listening to sports, which is only a plus for a small amount of people who enjoy listening to sports.

A Christmas bonus would be nice, that’s something I’d greatly appreciate. A company I once worked for gave $200 bonuses for Christmas, and I found that to be extremely generous. To me that’s more helpful than clothes or a mug, if you want to throw either one of the two in there as a bonus that’s cool but that money could help me buy gifts for family members, my kids, bills, or even food on the table for the holidays.

I got a pair of work gloves as a little gift from the company and why did they last for a long time? I was really glad for that, but also I was making some money with that too. But yeah, by drivers packs of work gloves still use them all the time. Another one would be some some tools and they don’t have to go and break the bank for it just some basic tools couple Christian riches some channel locks may be a screw a couple different types of screwdrivers and they don’t have to go hogwild on it but they don’t need to go to cheap either. They don’t have to call out Mac tools dealer. But maybe go to Lowe’s, Home Depot and pick up some stuff like that and not the real expensive stuff. Some of the mid priced stuff would be great.

My company supplied work gloves lasted a long time as well, and protected my hands in the process. It’s a practical gift, very much used and appreciated. Some small tools are a good idea too. Like an adjustable wrench or a Leatherman’s.

Our workplace used to do a food package for thanksgiving/xmas. Frozen turkey, eggnog, stuffing, snacks, grocery store gift card. Might be weird because you gotta figure out how to keep the stuff cold, but you could do a "dinner on us" type of deal, without giving money.

Truckers are pretty myopic about money up front, no matter what they drive; I think if their wives offered them a blowjob, they'd still rather have a ten-spot. That being said, dump drivers probably gotta get out of the truck on some rough, harsh ground; why not gift certificates for Red Wing, work'n'Sport, etc. - some good quality work boots or shoes? You cant make the "money, money, money" if you twist an ankle or something similar.

I drive for a large company, and every year they give out a few gift cards...$50 for Kroger, and another $50 for In & Out. Those are nice, but the the company got cheap over that last 15 yrs, and those of us that have been there remember what they used to do for Christmas...they used to shut down a very nice restaurant and have us all come with our plus 1, and have a fantastic dinner with an open bar. They would also buy a bunch of gifts that were raffled off at the end of the night. Things like flat screens, video game consoles, restaurant vouchers for full meals paid. Those were amazing nights, and we would talk about them for years, and compare them to previous years Christmas dinners. The newer drivers hear these stories, and wonder what happend of course...as do we ourselves.

Small business? I work for a family owned outfit and am proud to do so. Company shirts, jackets (light or heavy) some people like hats. They also offer employees access to their ordering site to pick out their own styles brands or cuts of all clothing and they cover 50% of the cost. About half of us wear company shirts. It isnt required but i gladly spent money to represent the conpany that takes care of me.

A nice company hoodie, something more than just your logo on the chest. Make it fancy. Big logo on the back, company name down the sleeve. Their name or nickname on the chest. Or those nice zip up jackets with the collar, idk what they're called, but they're great when you wanna wear something a little nicer than a hoodie but still represent. Cause not only are they representing your company, your company is representing them and showing you care about your guys, with a nice jacket. Travel cup with something inscribed on it. Could be company logo, but would be better with something meaningful on it. A quote, a toast, something. Maybe seat cushion or seat cover for the truck. Get each driver the door stickers with their name.
