I was chatting with my Finnish friend the other day...

Fun fact, it’s when counting that you really realize how far Finnish is from other European languages. In most, one starts with some open vowel (un, uno, en, ein, adin), two with a d or t (deux, dos, zwei, två, dva…), three with a t or d (trois, tres, drei, tre, tri…). That’s French, Spanish, German, Swedish, Russian (I may have messed up some transliteration though). Then you barge in with your Finnish yksi kaksi kolme 😳
