A vibe coded calendar integration crashed everyone's Outlook

Today at work a developer announced a new integration between Microsoft 365's calendar and a separate system that we are piloting. He was very open about it being vibe coded, and even went as far as to say he had "done it against all advice" and credited Claude. After first receiving plenty of praise, a message ticked into the mail channel - "Did anyone else's Outlook just crash from X's mail?".
Whoops, turns out something went horribly wrong with the integration and an invite sent out to a mailing list causes every Outlook Classic instance to crash. Luckily I'm on new Outlook, but most people at my work are on Classic due to policy (which I found a sneaky way to circumvent, because screw Outlook Classic).
Mind you, the fix for this was to go into webmail and delete the invite before re-launching Outlook. Luckily this mailing list was only for semi-competent IT employees, but it still caused a lot of noise.
TL;DR: My job is safe for another decade.

Fairly sure this is AI by Microsoft to get mor people to switch to new Outlook.
Seriously, who the hell likes new Outlook?

25 years of saved emails. New Outlook will only see the last 3 years. Classic outlook won't see anything after I tested new Outlook. I hate Outlook.

Just because something's been around for decades doesn't make it better. For simple use I find new Outlook a lot more streamlined. This is only my personal preference, there's a reason we have a policy that mandates classic Outlook because the vast majority prefer it. But the vast majority probably uses Outlook a lot more than I do!

I can't stand New Outlook because the support for categories is non-existent and you can't add additional info (like email size) to your inbox.
So many missing features

It's like a dumb version of gmail 😱

Classic works. New outlook still has the most random bugs that come and go. Our office is the opposite, mandated new and we all try to circumvent it to use the old version, because it at least fucking works.

Looking at OP post history i think that he is a human, reports? Yeah, but also made like 70+ posts about random themes.

It was a joke on him liking new outlook, not actually accusation.
