Free parking spots in Balatonfüred?

Hey everyone!
I'm heading to Balatonfüred on the 1st of May, and it seems like the whole town, especially near the lake and Tagore promenade, is strictly paid parking.
I'm totally fine with a 15-20 minute walk to the center if it means I can leave my car for the day without feeding a meter or risking a ticket. I'll be arriving in the morning to beat the crowds.
Does anyone know of any safe, legal, free spots? Are there any residential streets further uphill or train station lots I can use? Or should I just bite the bullet, get a parking app, and accept my fate?
Any local tips would be hugely appreciated! Köszönöm! 🙏

Just go by train. Then you neither have to worry about parking nor traffic jam on the highway.

Hi! Next to the train station there's a free parking lot. It's not too crowded, I could find free spots every time I had to park my car there. The lakeshore is about 10 minutes by foot. Here's a link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/1zRYLb7ADjentqpB7

I just now realised you want to go on 1st May, it will be crowded. There are streets nearby where parking is free, too. There' also a lot here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VhVyAnLnP6Dowkjf9

Yes, there are, but mostly those are really 20 min walks from the center. I'd recommend these streets that are free but close: Csók and Móricz Zsigmond, if you cant find then just go further, but please do check because more and more streets are paid each year.

Pretty sure that around the beaches the day ticket is around 1000 huf
