"This is our first cruise, we scrimped and saved and finally made it."
"This is my 18th, my husband works for Cunard."
"Well so does mine, but I don't swear about it!!!!"
An oldie that I haven't heard for a while or seen on here.

Uhh,..I don't get it.

"for Cunard" read as "f...kin hard"
Strange-Cat8068@reddit
Doh! That’s sofa king funny!
Marxbrosburner@reddit
Ooooooh...thanks, I never would have gotten it. I kept looking for a pun in the word "18th"

I had no idea, either. I thought the "Cun" was leading me somewhere else. And I spent half an hour trying to make that work.

Fun fact: The Korean word for 18 (십팔) sounds, to an anglophone, a lot like a Korean swear >!(씹할)!<
Rette33@reddit
Thanks from me too .. I didn't understand it either.
CapeMOGuy@reddit
I suppose the Cunard can be taken as "cu#t hard" 🤷♂️
Gandgareth@reddit (OP)
Fuckn hard
Stekor-Tidder@reddit
"Works f'kn hard"
humorrus1@reddit
In French Conard is asshole
Aggressive_Coast8553@reddit
This one needs a regional dialect to be added to the second lady, so that it would be read in the correct voice. The punch line doesn't land the same with out an accent that makes you read it as F' Cunard.

"Fookin' 'ard." for the non-British.

Reminds me of this classic line from Only Fools And Horses: https://youtu.be/cMopqvRHY0Y
