Pedro dice: «Es tubo.»
Y Jose dice: «No quiero saber lo que estuvo. Quero saber lo que es.»

“Es tubo” means “it happened” in Spanish, the translation is just not very funny. Kinda like joke# 282…some people just can’t tell a joke!

This actually happened. I asked a native speaker (from Guatemala) how to say that thing on the ceiling (pointing to a pipe), and he said, "Es tubo" (which of course sounded exactly like "estuvo"). So maybe it differs from place to place (like "guagua" for "bus" in Cuba).

Asking a lot of your readership to expect that they're bilingual in English and some specific Spanish dialect, though 🙂
