I’m lucky to be doing good! In good health, family and friends are all well, have a secure job and travelled quite extensively (5 continents!) this year. Everyone’s just waiting for this election cycle to pass next April. 😅 Oh, and after a decade of planning, I’ve finally made the move and applied for my Romanian birth certificate and passport (which I received only last Friday). Happy holidays and wishing you all the best for the new year!

My life is same as any other Hungarian. We eat goulash, for dinner we have chicken paprikash. We ride our horses every day, while whipping our lashes and shooting arrows backwards. While woman are carving Turul shaped ornaments and looking after our glorious Magyar children. At night we drink wine with pálinka and listen to Gypsy music.

I would say that better than in Romania? As a 100% hungarian, with only romanian friends and also a romanian GF I moved to Budapest for UNI. I like it much better here. Only one thing: people are more "papa lapte", which i dont really like, as i grew up with businessmans etc, and you cant talk about shit here as everyone lives by the books FML. and ofcourse... Politics is shit, but i would say its still better than in Romania. Comparing Oradea with budapest economically is always bad for Budapest... Oradea is i think the only city where the EU money acually goes where it actually should... city looks good as fuck, comparing it to budapest where the roads are like a rollercoaster. Other than all of these, i see a brighter future for myself here than in Romania... I work as a student, i have a Romanian x Hungarian job, which quite a good salary, which i couldnt have in romania haha Will probably stay here after uni, will see how life with my gf will be, we want to move out here.

My family on my father's side escaped Romania (Hungarians in Hungarian village - Trianon and stuff) before ceausescu was killed (a lot more earlier) but now they wished they stayed... that's how life is currently.
