"Feral youth" of the 00s, what are you doing now?

Grew up in a small town there were 2 main schools that would regularly fight eachother by one group turning up at the others school. We’d go to the park and get drunk smoke weed. I got arrested a couple of times one for being in an old abandoned building and the other for shoplifting even though I didn’t steal it was my friend. We would hang around in a large group in senior school sometimes between 6 and 20 of us. Met a group of older lads through my boyfriends older brother. I split up with boyfriend (we were 13) and his brother took me under his wing so me and my friends would hang around with them after school just me and one other girl the rest were boys. We’d always be going in old abandoned buildings, spray painting walls from spray paint found in Halfords bins until they clocked onto us and started locking them. One time we’d all gone down the canal and found an abandoned Arnold lavers building so started hanging out down there and found a jerry can of petrol and one of the lads decided to set a fire and ended up burning the whole of Arnold lavers down. I can just remember the panic and us all splitting up and running in separate directions around the town. None of us ever got caught for that. Think we did them a favour though because the place was falling to bits and it’s now a housing estate. Things only changed for me when the older lads left school and got driving licences and their interests changed. That’s when I got into the car scene. The girl I used to hang around with got pregnant really young and ended up having her kids taken off her. Her sister adopted them and I hadn’t seen them since leaving school until a few months ago when the girl came into my work and when she recognised me she had tears in her eyes and said I’ve missed you. Really sad situation I could tell she was on drugs and was just buying a small amount of shopping looked to be really struggling and had the weight of the world on her shoulders. The lads have gone on to do different things. Obviously I don’t see all of them but the of ones I know of one joined the army, married has kids. Another works for the NHS in a high up position. Another is in construction. One killed himself after his ex stopped him seeing their baby. I don’t think any of them do drugs anymore they seem to have all turned their lives around.
