it must suck to be a bee. think about it. you spend all summer working your ass off to make some honey, then some schmuck just takes it all. dude. i'd be furious. i'd be trying to sting somebody.

In the summer they only do about 6 weeks I believe. I'm not sure but I think I remember it being 2 weeks in the hive, 2 weeks as a guard and 2 weeks gathering roughly but this might bee wrong. Also they gain a guarantee for a functional gouvernement, an always correctly proportioned living space, with half the work already done, somebody to remove and replace old and toxic infrastructure, fight parasites, place them in food rich environments, a replacement product for the honey that's taken, etc. Compared to what human states do where there's the possibility that they take all your money to build a uniform, force you into it and send you to die that's pretty decent.
