I lost Interest in that relationship.
hot_ho11ow_point@reddit
Still is a woman of principle
Xcthal@reddit
Now she's a woman without principal...
Wooolololo@reddit
She could have been his finance
zilb0b@reddit
Financee
CircusPerformer@reddit
With apologies, Fiancée
ericshin8282@reddit
she had no interest
turb42o@reddit
they’re both playing the numbers game..
AltruisticProduce617@reddit
OP pulled out to early, that’s why she lost interest.
Significant-Crow-974@reddit
Nicely compounding the joke there.
Mindless_Rest1072@reddit
Inflammatory interest
Silly-Cloud-3114@reddit
She gives away principles.
brittneyacook@reddit
Not sure if the pun was intentional (principal?) but I giggled
TheDevilsAdvokaat@reddit
I'm sure it was. You can bank on it.
grnlntrn1969@reddit
Don't know why, but I did the "Muttley" laugh when I read that.
TheDevilsAdvokaat@reddit
You mean that laugh that starts with a wheeze? I remember that....
grnlntrn1969@reddit
Yep exactly
retronai@reddit
Principal would have made that perfect but good effort nonetheless
turkeypedal@reddit
I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but I always think of the school official first when I see "principal." Spelling it the other way made me think of the concept first, then the money term.
flash-86@reddit
… homo phones?
Dinkmeyer-@reddit
2 words that have the same pronunciation but different meanings, spelled different eg: new & knew
NoAccountDrifter@reddit
That's my one rule. My lone principle
ThriceFive@reddit
And for that she will always be in your debt
pals_et_copains@reddit
That's what it is. You should thanks her of repaying you $100. Being your GF for a while (hope having good memories) and $100, which one is worth better. Thus, repaying you after 3 years has proven she's a decent person.
anicasee@reddit
No interest
Appropriate_Value614@reddit
Guess she wasn’t interested
frowawayduh@reddit
She never seemed fully invested.
Appropriate_Value614@reddit
Not at all. The relationship didn’t hold much stock
frowawayduh@reddit
Troubles just kept compounding.
AltruisticProduce617@reddit
OP wasn’t pounding her enough you meant?
Appropriate_Value614@reddit
Indeed. With no winners, it had to end by default
nickfree@reddit
Well they never had a strong bond
Appropriate_Value614@reddit
That’s fair. I just hope they have better futures
YourCool_Sis@reddit
Maybe, but if 3 years had no dividends, I doubt the future's gonna be any better 😂😂😂
SJCrazy@reddit
Thankfully for OP, it did not.
JeanieDrake@reddit
oh, man!!! Ouch!
LostBetsRed@reddit
You broke up with her? So now you're a loan?
Baguette1126@reddit
ugh i hate yall you beat me to it😩😭😭😭
s0ys0s@reddit
At least your not like me with only $99.
I’m a day late AND a dollar short.
ciaDisinfo@reddit
all by his loan sum
GiddyUpDown@reddit
No one to lien on anymore.
Hardcore_Vazquez@reddit
Hahaha
FalcornMarsh11@reddit
We broke up over a year ago
I still have her monthly mobile contract in my name on my account
She still pays me her bill money every month , no contact in 17 months
Edgar_Brown@reddit
At least you didn’t compromise your principals.
RestaurantSelect5556@reddit
She forgot to account for inflation. According to inflation, she still owes you $10.39.
barrymmims56@reddit
Be happy that you got anything back.
Red-Beaulieu@reddit
Worse than a Dear John letter...you got a C Note
OkComfortable@reddit
My gf borrowed 4000. We got married and she never paid me back. There is no joke here. Just a true story of how I lost money.
PuzzleheadedLog3420@reddit
I've only ever had ex girlfriends try to borrow money from me. That being said.. they were already my ex. So what am I going to do by saying no? Hurt their feeling? Especially when I hadn't talked to the lady in years. And I live on the other side of the country now. You want to come and see me? Hahaha no. Byeee
KlingonJ@reddit
I love Reddit comments
grnlntrn1969@reddit
Funniest place on the internet
savedawhale@reddit
I was hoping someone would tweak the joke a little. It would be better if the breakup was because of the punchline.
Something like
After 3 years she returned the $100, so I broke up with her.
I had lost interest in the relationship.
Level_Sheepherder894@reddit
$100 in the hand, but no more bush.
MeerkatsandElephants@reddit
Did she say you were emotionally bankrupt?
Commercial-Study-278@reddit
At least she repaid you. Most girlfriends would quantify the number of times they put out for you, and bill you $25 for each interlude!
No-Rent4155@reddit
Wait... she actually paid it back?
mkdwolf@reddit
Seems like you were with her out of interest.
RegisterWest600@reddit
Well here's my two cents...
WeeklyInterview7180@reddit
She had fast financial vehicle
zaakaaz@reddit
True love has zero percent APR.
Ozonewanderer@reddit
She returned it?! You accepted it?! Wow what a relationship.
Hunkfish@reddit
At least you got your deposit back, my friend can't and now paying child support.
bleudie1@reddit
Should've asked for interest
peekaye07@reddit
Why do some readers give life advice when this lists under Jokes! And some of the comments in this post are hilarious
homer01010101@reddit
Be happy you got it back. Move on.
PleasantYesterday420@reddit
More than most men ever recovered, consider yourself paid in full!!!
GergVIII@reddit
No interest? What the fuck man
WhiteHatX@reddit
Damn this is good stuff!
LinguistsDrinkIPAs@reddit
Don’t break up. Break even. 💯
Tarquinflimbim@reddit
I would say you were lucky. Or pick women of good character but perhaps poor understanding of compound. Interest. Still….
whiteboardblackchalk@reddit
It was a security deposit
-_-PK@reddit
She was being friendly to the planet. Didn’t want to add to the CO2 emissions by printing extra money. I explained this to the manager at my bank and he basically forced me to close my account.
daisy94903@reddit
Lucky she paid you back. I bet you didn’t expect the $100.
Riva-2021@reddit
Consider yourself lucky you got money back LOL
JayGridley@reddit
I get the joke, but you would have also been shorted $10 as $100 from 3 years ago is the equivalent of $110 today.
DrTroma@reddit
BBBBBOOOO!!!! lol
HerbertRTarlekJr@reddit
https://youtu.be/im9glfqYGsE?feature=shared
TroubleLow9685@reddit
Ha!
Think-Difficulty7596@reddit
That's why you separated.
ExhaltedPeasant@reddit
So you’re telling me that you lost interest.
_Jeronimo_Mickey@reddit
She returned money for good times rendered
sherman40336@reddit
I am impressed, I would have kissed it goodbye when I handed it over. Move on. (Or let it go, as they say).
Skeeterbip@reddit
You are very lucky that you got your money back at all. Just make sure what when you loan anything to your next love interest you have then fill out the proper forms and get them notarized…. I let my college GF/Roommate borrow my Willie Nelson album back in 1980. She took my heart and WN album back to New Jersey and she had her father tell me that she had moved out on from me. I had to rebuy my own copy.
AdhesiveMadMan@reddit
Something tells me she had an inflation fetish.
ohellnono@reddit
Shut up, I'm surre you were comped in some way. Grow up stupid
Ticketyboo2u2@reddit
I bet she was banking on you 🫢
Remarkable_Speaker17@reddit
I guess they came out even after all the highs and the lows. Just look at it as she squirted out the same amount you deposited and be happy. If you complain about no happy ending, why didn’t you make sure she’s interested from the beginning? How did you get so high during the whole three years? On expectations, of course! Whoopi sent “bless you!”
stestagg@reddit
She didn’t appreciate what you gave her
AccordionORama@reddit
Something something volume-weighted depreciated asset evaluation.
caesar950@reddit
You came away even. That’s the principal of the matter.
bolderbeholder@reddit
Zero coupon blonde?
perspecter@reddit
At least you preserved your principal.
Tattoogirl_alina@reddit
Not even about the money… three years together and 0% interest. Guess that sums it up.
Zarnong@reddit
Best part. I missed that it was r/jokes to begin with 😂
Coffeetime18@reddit
🤣
Clue_Loose@reddit
At least you were able to lender a hand
YourCool_Sis@reddit
Three years, $100, and zero dividends… I’d say that investment tanked harder than the stock market
getSome408@reddit
No Cum-pound interest
Amberdeluxe@reddit
I think there was a lack of appreciation
WiltshireWizard@reddit
Just look at it as her returning your deposit.
Ph4kArndNFO@reddit
The interest failed to compound
TubularKitten@reddit
She was a real c-note.
Nunov_DAbov@reddit
You have to give her credit for sticking to her principal when you lost interest.
Pretty-Stick-7475@reddit
Was there an agreement to pay principle plus interest? If not, I think the principle amount is enough, time notwithstanding.
Otherwise_Network58@reddit
And you let her go ?she is an honest lady you want her back.
slade51@reddit
It was never fully amore-tized.
Hour-Bit924@reddit
Ya shoulda realised that there’s no interest after withdrawal
DepressedGoUnlucky@reddit
$100 dollars? Bitch, I got bills to pay!
Sekorian@reddit
She withdrew from the relationship.
Swain392@reddit
You really got escrowed here.
questfornewlearning@reddit
Too bad you couldn’t stay together for 7 years where you could have hit her with the double your money rule.
PM_ME_UR_CHUPACOMMA@reddit
So, the relationship didn't have a chance to reach maturity, then?
tourbox12@reddit
Substantial penalty for early withdrawal
Weird_Fiches@reddit
The lack of return on your investment only compounded the problem.
shitferbranes@reddit
She wasn’t of interest.
kubo777@reddit
Your investment didn't grow.
Motion_Means4501@reddit
In real terms, none of it was worth the time.
