The should remove the 9/11 memorials in NYC and build two gigantic fuckin mixed use towers in their footprints

Let me start by saying I absolutely think that we should have 9/11 memorials and I am in no way saying we should disrespect them. Maybe it would be good to dedicate both huge ass lobbies to memorials. They would also be indoors and can be visited in any weather and open 24/7 instead of being shut down at night. Or maybe they can dedicate one lobby to the past of NYC and honor the dead, as then the other lobby can be the future of NYC. It really pissed me off that they built one tower instead of two. We should have built two bigger buildings back. It's such a whimpy response to the attack. Having two big ass buildings in those footprints will restore the skyline, it doesn't feel iconic any more. It feels like we lost something instead of adding. We have a huge housing problem in NYC. I get that people wouldn't want to necessarily build two huge new office buildings when remote work is here to stay and offices in the current WTC are not filled to capacity, so instead, we should build them in a way that can be used as apartments or offices. I don't pretend to understand building code, but the windows need to open for residential, but not for business. Just prioritize residential and open them to businesses, maybe have business floors and residential floors to separate them.
