I had installed Recuva on my laptop to recover some of my old files that were accidentally deleted. Before installing Recuva, my laptop battery used to last for around 4 hours without needing to be plugged in. However, after using Recuva and running several deep scans, I noticed a significant change in battery performance. Now, my laptop only runs for about 2 hours and 15 minutes on battery, which is almost half the previous duration. I suspect that the scanning process may have caused the battery to deteriorate faster or miscalibrated its readings. I’ve already uninstalled Recuva, but the issue remains. Is there any fix for this, or should I consider replacing the battery?
