When I was young, everyone wore wristwatches. Now everyone has a clock on their phone.

Boy..how times have changed.

To be truly trendy you need an Apple smartwatch in addition to your iPhone.
narwahl_IQ@reddit
Isn’t that just the dumbest thing?!
Yaguajay@reddit
Yes. But sometimes I wish I had some reason to buy an Apple watch just to keep up with my colleagues.

I have multiple analog watches and it makes my heart happy to not be trendy, but I do wish I was cool sometimes….

I don't use an apple watch but I have a Garmin and it tracks my runs/hikes/cycles, heart rate, steps, cadence, elevation and a pile more. Can also download maps onto it for when I'm hiking somewhere without data, honestly an amazing bit of tech that I love. Side note waking up because my wrist vibrated is such a nice way to wake up compared to an alarm.
Can also check notifications and stuff on my wrist but I don't really care much for that stuff.

I had to get one for health tracking over a year ago, it’s actually one of the best pieces of tech.

You could say our “watches” are now watching us and everything we do.
Mhyth@reddit
When I was young I rarely wore a watch. No that I'm old I don't take my phone with me everywhere I go.
Both seem to agitate folks. I still don't care.

When I was young people multiplied numbers in their heads or on paper. Now they use their phone’s calculator- Boy, how times have changed.

Sounds like we both remember the teacher," you need to learn to do math in your head, I promise that you won't be using a calculator at work, and you most certainly won't have one when your walking around!"
ReluctantAvenger@reddit
That's so ten years ago. Now we just ask Google. You can literally take a photo of an equation and get the solution.
mmpvcentral@reddit
Yeah, it's crazy how we went from "watching" the time on our wrists to "phoning" it in! Time really does fly, doesn't it?

When I was young, I used to wear nappies. Now I wear adult diapers.

we got clocks on the walls, watches in the pockets, watches on the wrist, phones on the wall, phones in the pocket and now phones on the wrist. There's really nothing left to invent.
ni-wom@reddit
Plus you can either phone your watch or watch your phone now.
StarlightM4@reddit
I have a phone on my watch!
